@judowrestlerka

Dude was a sweetheart. Ive know the family for a long time. Chuck was a shy, heartfelt kid. He may be only said "Hello", waved, smiled the whole time i knew him (like a down the street neighbor πŸ˜€ friends)

The first song I heard from the band Death was 'Spirit Crusher' in 2003. In Iran, due to the lack of opportunity to buy albums and the absence of an official record label, we had difficulty finding metal albums. But I remember that the band Death gained an unbelievable following among metal fans in Iran and still does. They are considered legends for us Iranians. May his soul rest in peace.

@Freddekaddeth

My father died a month after Chuck. My father's brain tumor was also fatal. Family is extra important to the patient in such times. Life can be short, make something beautiful of it while you live.

@quilmesdave

I'm 61. Since I was 11 I listened to hard rock. That evolved into the love of metal in the 80's to today loving black and death metal so much. I found out about Death and Chuck after he passed, around 2003. I just wished I knew about him, his influence and legacy much earlier...what a great loss. I know from the first moment I heard him that he played with passion. I'm always moved when I listen to his recordings. May God keep you close Chuck, you really were one of a kind!!

@nitrokyosho

Absolutely a legend and gentleman full of love and class ,followed by a incredible guitar player and vocalist.

In Today's world it's hard to find People like Him... RIPπŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’

@ocas5000

Leprosy was the first Death metal album I ever purchased.
I pretty much introduced Death Metal to my brother and some friends at school with this album. Still my favorite band to this day. R.I.P. Chuck πŸ«‘πŸ‘‘πŸ’―βœŒοΈ&❀️

@VanJR.

First exposure to Death was in senior high school in 2005 by a classmate. And my mind was blown, 20 years later it still feel the same way when I listen to Death ❀ Rip Chuck

@accountablekjv3295

WOW! Honoring a legend of the death (no pun intended) metal genre? This man was ahead of his time. Human, Individual Thought Patterns, Symbolic all classic masterpieces!

@ashleyapter9100

😒😒😒

@jocastello7

that's a great homage, congratulations to the journalists and people who put this together. Chuck is great piece of the american musical legacy, and as far as electric guitar matters, one of the greatest composers ever.

@JohnJRighteousHypocrite

Chuck was a very humble and kind man, he would never admit it, but he absolutely did influence millions of people and pretty much birthed death metal! I started learning and playing electric guitar / metal in 2001, and I didn't even find out about death until 2023. Dimebag Darrell was my inspiration to start in 2001 now, I am obsessed with death and Chuck's playing. Dude had such a big heart and soul, and it reverberates through in his music...just like dimebag, his solos like cosmic sea are unbelievable! He's a pioneer of metal and Shall be remembered 100 years from now! Heavy metal and death metal guitar is in my blood, it's become a way of life... With Chuck to thank for it. R.I.P Chuck! ❀️🀘🏻

@metalhd4life

At age 49 in 2025, I still listen to DEATH. The Godfather of Death Metal World 🌎. Forever in our hearts πŸ’— and minds πŸ™.

@lordgargamel4124

Brother purchased spiritual healing when it dropped. I was 10 at the time. My brain was completely fried. I still play this album. The only death metal band that actually has positive messages in a handful of songs.

@dagenceto

True icon. I remember a short press release in Bulgaria when he passed away and I thought it was some joke about the band's name. I realized a few months after that it was real and I couldn't help crying for hours. May he rest in peace, his legacy will last forever.
