Automation is extremly buggy at the moment
the loading dock tip is going to change my life
tip: in long mixing chains, assign the workers staggered in relative to the mix order. So if you have machines mixing 1->2->...->8 then chemist 1 should work on station 1,3,5,7 and chemist 2 should work on station 2,4,6,8, this way they can immediately continue with the work the other one finished, making mixing a lot faster as they wont try to constantly go back to the parking lot
I struggled with frozen chemist, the fix is do not put stations in an L shape, once i stopped doing that it works perfectly fine without having to leave and join back every 2 mins. Just space them out and remember the npc is dumb and will not know how to walk around if things are cluttered! :)
You don’t have to exit the game to make them resume movement. Make them fall down with the skateboard(jumping into them) or bat and when they get back up they’ll go back to work
"Any loading bay" unless they fixed it, the only one that works without editing config files is the bungalow loading bay
Currently my workers get stuck twice a day. I'll wait until NPC pathing is improved
when you assign chemists to work stations set them to every other station down the line and the other chemist to the stations inbetween, for example if you have 1 mix that uses 8 mixers with 2 chemists, have the 1st chemist do the first mixer and the 2nd chemist do the second mixer and so on so that they do every other one. it keeps them constantly working together.
I have automated all types of products but restocking feels some kind of logistics. Maybe worker logist would be nice
Anything worth mixing and selling needs a full veeper/2 large shelves of each ingredient and a mixing station for each. Plan your mixing property accordingly.
You can also just punch workers to get them unstuck. no need to leave the game.
Btw if your going to hire workers only buy the basic stations such as the basic packaging as they cant use the more expensive one properly
Placing things to where I could freely walk around pretty much eliminated workers getting stuck/not workin. Both with a 3 line setup for the sugar in the barn and 4 mix math operation in the docks. With the notable exception being the cleaners…I haven’t quite figured out what stops them from cleaning.
I’ve found full swing punching the bugged workers also works 99% of the time
I'm excited for the worker stuck fix. Because when exiting the game, exp gained that day before your save point, will be lost.
I heard I don’t know if it’s done yet or it’s gonna be in a later update that you can actually check the inventory of your workers which helps stop them from stealing your products
every early access game always have bug... even bug not going to stop me for playing schedule 1
always watch these even though i don’t even have a pc
There should be a producer job that picks up dead drops and buys certain items from the hardware store and supermarket/gas station
