Most people in the comments comparing Blender with other open source software don't seem to get the fact none of those software have reached to a level when the proprietary counterparts started copying you. If you are an pro artist working on big projects and have used all of these tools both 3D and 2D, you'd know that Blender is actually a real competition to the proprietary stuff and not just a foss alternative.

The thing aboit blender is that it is hands down better than any alternatives or industry standards. Industry is focused around Maya but blender is definitely considered by many to be better.

I would love to say Godot is the best Free and Open Source Software but when I really think about it, as much as it is by far my favourite game engine, there are many other free ones, while Blender is the only 3D animation/modeling/sculpting/whatever free tool I've heard about
