I literally have 13 days til my exams start so this video is heaven sent! Thank you so much, I've been looking out for your videos every day for the past few weeks and never miss one. So much value 😌 👌
You talked about two issues at the beginning of the video. Watching videos on how to study but not taking any action and just writing down notes and not really learning anything. Please do make a video addressing these issues and how we can deal with it.
Writing in 2 hours my exam, wish I had this one earlier haha But keep up the good work, your content is on fire!
Thanks for the video. Super helpful as always.
Thank you for the video, my guru!
I had been preparing for a decent amount of time but messed it up in the end by revising the wrong things. I re did the important topics rather than focusing on my weakest. In the exam i was able to do the harder questions but unable to recall the basic facts! I hope i don’t have to resit the exam 😓
Thank you so much Tom! What would you suggest if we don't have access to past papers? In Asia, universities often don't allow these to be shared.
Teacher can you teach me the optimal way to make any MCQ and short answer questions if we don't have the ready-made handout like this? Thanks teacher.❤
I’m a medical student from Serbia. I only have books and exams. We ALWAYS have oral exams, so no multiple choice questions, just straight up answering questions from the examiner. So… we don’t have past exam questions nor do we have questions after the lecture. Just plain exam material; and It’s usually very lengthy (800-1000 pages for the finals). So how should I test myself for those kind of exams? 🥺
Would you say doing read and recall is a waste of time to do if you’re cramming last 4-5 days until exam?
If there aren't any sources for past papers or any questions ,is read and recall method in this case enough ? Or will be useful ?
Thanks a lot Tom Your history exam experience reminds me of my psychology exam in which I have write down certain facts/details of the key words Along the way of testing if one notices that one lacks understanding is this where read and recall comes in?
Some great tips! About improving your weak areas, it's good to understand there are diminishing returns and focus on where you'll make the biggest improvements in a given period of time like you recommend. You could spend 10 hours to get from 7 to 8 topic (on a 1-10 scale), or 10 hours to get from 1 to 6 on a weak topic. It's pretty obvious where you should put your time. And as for pareto principle, I've found it often goes with strong fundamentals in a topic, i.e. the fundamentals constitute for a lot of those 80% of content that'll come up. So it's good to spend your time working primarily on the fundamentals (maybe even another 80/20), and not to mention it'll make learning details much easier.
Not me watching this when I just have 3 days left 😅
Telling me to relax and watch a movie the day before the exam is absolutely insane
Can I know how you organize your notes? Do you rewrite them digitally in a specific application, or do you just scan them, or do you just save them physically ?
yo what happend to the camera quality
can't find the "fact trainer"? what is it, an app?
