Warranty void if removed is no longer legal
Calmest video of The Greatest Technician that's ever lived. 🤫
3k for shit qc and nonexistant customer service is criminal
Razer is an evil company. I know because i bought a lot of their high end products. They never want to honor the extra paid warranty.
Razor is one of the BIGGEST failures in troubleshooting. Their Razorblades keep overheating and causing the batteries to swell. They will send out replacement batteries in the warranty period but never fix the underlying issue which is the thermal paste causing heat issues. I pulled my own apart and re-did the paste on both and I dropped my temps around 30 degrees C. (ThrottleStop measures in non-American temps :) ) I still use the USB cooling fans to drop it another 5 degrees or so but they likely spend more in batteries than they would re-doing the paste and fixing the underlying issue.
Good to know. I'll never buy razor again. It's ridiculous that you can't buy replacement parts.
Now imagine spending 100K on a Jeep just for it to slowly disintegrate itself as it left the dealer lot...
Right to Repair laws NEED to be put into place. Imagine not being able to work on the device you paid the price of two 4090s for, a device you own (at least physically)
I respect and appreciate your work of explicitly exposing their exploitation of consumer weakness of knowing such information is almost never possible. I think you should take your expertise to next level where you could show each pros and cons of each corporate behind the scenes doing.
I replaced my blade 16 with the Alienware M16 R2 completely on my own. it's always great to think back to the golden days when I worked in a repair store for the old IBM mammoths. I felt younger because at the end everything was working without having broken anything and no screws missing (67 years old and counting) Greetings from Spain!🔥
I can't believe Apple have a opponent against fighting right to repair
Razer makes absolute trash products. The last time I bought a mouse and reached out to them for repair they refused to help because it was out of warranty. I will never touch a Razer product or recommend it to anyone.
Note to self: don't buy Razer
Meanwhile with alienware laptops its just a feature. You know, to keep your coffee warm.
I’m not condoning Apple’s behavior at all but if you’re going to make a product that you don’t want anyone repairing, QC better be top notch. And at least Apple is selling parts and has repair guides out now. I just hate that they make things like USBC ports easily removable but we can’t have a couple m.2 slots? Or batteries that can be easily removed by applying a 9v battery to a tab but no SODIMMs? Cmon man.
Razer is a joke of a company, I payed close to 4k on a Blade 15 that fell on the ground and the chassis dented, emailed them, called them, tried everything until they finally responded, they said they didn't offer support in Brazil, so on vacation I travelled to the US and they said they'd take at least 2 months to fix, without being a guarantee, because they had to look at it first, then the fan broke, which I replaced myself, and my brother, who also has a blade, started having a problem on his GPU out of nowhere on a 2 yo computer, their build quality is absolutely ass, their customer service is even worse, they cut corners in everything they can, terrible company, stay away from it
WHY DIDN'T MY MOM GET ROASTED IN THIS VIDEO??
It's a shame there is only enough room for one of the "Greatest Technician that's ever lived". The World needs more.
I’ve repaired some Lenovo’s and I’d say they’re pretty repair friendly. I believe they even worked with ifixit to make them easier to repair. Good to see companies doing things like this. Definitely builds good will with their customers
