Regarding Google using Samsung phones at their Android event — I see this as a sign that Google wants to show support for their most important Android partner, rather than just pushing Pixel phones. It’s a move that signals collaboration, not competition. This also comes at a time when Samsung has finally moved away from Tizen on their smartwatches and is placing less emphasis on their own software. As a result, the partnership between Samsung and Google is becoming stronger, which they can use as a united front against Apple.

5:27 The reason is that Google cut a deal with Samsung to stop them from trying to go independent. That is, to drop the Samsung store and Bixby and stuff. Samsung was doubling down on removing their Google dependency when they announced the Pixel phones.

They have already started implementing gemini to Google home products. They added the same voices and when you ask certain things that require gemini, they play a certain tone and then it uses gemini to answer
