I have been in IT for 34 years. Been laid off several times, two of those times were for 7 1/2 month stretches. Don't delay in filing for unemployment. It's insurance you paid for. File a claim. You have the benefit of being young. I subscribed and wish you all the best. Keep your chin up.

Trust me, sweetheart. This setback might be just what you need. The world is filled with possibilities, staying in one place can be limiting. I'm 51 now and i regret not ditching my 60 hour workweeks sooner. I've broken free and i must say, living life on my own terms is liberating.

The same companies ask for a 2 week notice when you quit but can just fire you suddenly in a day??? They didn’t give you time at all to maybe find another job and to process the change. I hate them, I’m so sorry this happened.

I was laid off today as well — 24% of my Org lost their jobs, 1750 people in total from my company. They say that misery loves company— so we are in this together. Good vibes to us!! We will get through this!!

I just got laid off after working for my company for 13 years. I am the sole worker in my house for 3 disabled people. It's terrifying. Prayers for you that you will find another great job!

This is why I dont see why I need to give a 2 weeks notice when I'm leaving especially if I never want to return. These companies completely mess up your plans but you need to give them time to plan your replacement? WTF

I had a friend that worked for the same company for 26 years. She worked in IT doing procurement integrations. She got laid off with no notice....her last day was the day they told her. She ended up getting another job that pays more...she's still working from home. She got a full severance package. Her old boss ended up calling her back because stuff hasn't been done since she left and the company was lossing money because they weren't get paid by some of their biggest customers. Nobody else knew how to do her job. Not sure what happened with her old employer...but she is happy at her new job. I'm praying for you. God has something bigger and better in store for you. I got let go from my job in 2023 and I’m a Cybersecurity Analyst. Took me two months to get another job. Even though you got laid off, your skill set still makes you very marketable young lady. Keep your head up and keep grinding. Things will work themselves out…💯👍🏾
