@HughJorgan1

One of my favorite records is #39, longest point streak from start of season, because he averaged an even 3 points a game over those 51 games. Obscene.

@Hockeyfan304

Wayne Gretzky is a phenomenal player. I wouldn’t be shocked if Ovi gets the most goals but Gretzky for sure will always be remembered as the Great 99. He will be remembered as the best player in the NHL of all time.

@HughJorgan1

Great video. I think Gretzky's statistical dominance makes him arguably the greatest professional athlete of all time.

@christian2085

Awesome stats comparison commentary, thank you! It sounds like Wayne Gretzky was totally born to inspire people everywhere!

@Classic.Cameras

Imagine Gretzky with todays technology, todays development and todays non hitting barely fighting league? I could only imagine how well he would do. He would still dominate.

@peterolbrisch8970

He holds the record for most records. That's domination for you.

@WilliamofFlorida

I hate when people argue that the game was so much more relaxed in the ‘70s and ‘80s, so of course he dominated the game. Then I ask why don’t more players from that era have almost 3,000 regular season points like Gretz? The man knew the ins and outs of the game and ruled it.

@rickpapineau5939

2:46 - "... that does it for the regular season goal scoring records." <-- fails to mention 50 goals in 39 games.

@HupaHD

Keep up the great content bro

@dannycarlow8204

In 85-86 when Mario had 141 points and Wayne had 215, the Pens had 130 more powerplays than the Oilers.

@Bdiers

I think you might have missed one (there were a lot of numbers in this video :D ): Longest home point streak to start a season (40 in 88-89 when he had a point in every home game for the Kings). I only know this one because MacKinnon has a shot at tying or beating it this season (He has a point in all 35 home games thus far)

@Iamacasual77

thank u for saying that, i hate the argument that players today are better. who cares. it is about who was better in their era. what was in their control. Gretzky was by far the best player in his era, probably in any sport

@arcticmist1193

watched his ENTIRE career ---- simply undisputable statistically --- poetry on ice.

@michaelgriffiths8068

One of my favourite unofficial records is 8 consecutive Hart Trophies. Completely insane. Even more insane is it would have been 10 consecutive Harts if not for his 16 game injury in 1987/88.

@kidpoker9408

theres also unofficial records for eg 200 point seasons

@kidpoker9408

50 in 34 spanning two seasons having more 100 point seasons than mario on assists alone

@allansbullet

50 goals in 39 games from the start of the season is one that's unreal - including 5 in the 39th game!

@johnshields6852

There are better "hockey players ", better skating, harder shots. Here's the thing, he had the best " Knack " for scoring than anybody, Ever.

@moody9442

It's quite simple once a player gaps.His peers by the same percentage.As Gretzky, then we can have that conversation.Until then, no one touches him.He's a thousand points ahead

@pranavsambamurti7746

Still the Great One! :hand-purple-blue-peace:
