Windows 10 should have been the last Windows release. This end of Support nonsense is so outdated. I hate this Company so much. They just cause more waste and we have to throw away our good Laptops and buy new ones which don't last more than 5 years. They just care about money and not about the Environment

Look, I love Macs but they're NOT the answer to this problem. Apple do the same thing, they make them "vintage" after around 7-10 years. Linux is the only answer here.

I used XP for 8 years after security support ended for it. In that time no viruses, no malware, no nothing.

PS. For the record, Windows PC's and Macs absolutely hate the concept of the user having any kind of data privacy - so both are as bad as each other.

you showing the 8gb laptop and then the 4gb and the kicker being that the older but more powerful device can't run 11 just proves the hypocrisy i've found insane about since 2021, that i can't believe they managed to get away with.

For my main computer, which i use for gaming, general office use, videos and pictures, I'll be sticking with Windows 10 until it's no longer feasible. I've already switched my main laptop - an HP i7 system - from Windows 10 to Linux Mint. I use it every day and don't miss Windows at all. I even run some games on it. Honestly, I think Microsoft is shooting themselves in the foot and will lose a lot of market share
