@FoxerZ

Legit my phone says 70 something GB are being used when I barely have one gb worth of stuff on it.

@jeremiahcooper1

Sooooo.... there's basically no way to clear the "Other" folder.

@FiinalFlaash

The secret to this with old phones was, first of all u had access to ALL your folders, now everything seems to be hidden. And so you would go to My Files, select certain amount of folders and check the "weight" to pin point which one had all those GB. It took me years to figure that out on my own. I've never seen anyone use that method in yt. You can still use this method to trim maybe 1 or 2 GB of space. For example, i have about 4GB between photos and videos, but i found a total of 6 GB by searching folder weight. I know theres 2 GB of stuff i can delete. Problem is, u have to be on top of this cause eventually it'll fill right up again.

@neosaber

a video about clearing the other folder where you dont clear the other folder. amazing

@gaming_cookie_fox_6390

Clearing the Cache of the apps really helped me and from 32GB other it went down to 4.70GB which is a really BIG difference

@Gma7788

You've been reported to the authorities for WASTING MY TIME.

@canubeleiveit

I just did it on my A32 5g. I used smart switch and transfered my info onto my tab s8, factory reset it and then transfered back all the apps from tablet to A32 and in the process it allows you to pick and choose only what you want to transfer back. It was fairly painless and took about an hour but it cleared all that other storage. It's the only sure fire way.

@VitaminSugarWater

Here's another one you should do. Try to go to apps on the setting and set it to see the system application and look for "package installer" once you find it go to the app and select the app storage and clear all data. This should clear up some space and won't change a thing at all

@ripfuzz3435

I deleted 600 something raw files from my SD card because it was starting to get full, just a massive amount of data. It locked up at about 100% in the moving to trash phase. After I use device cleanup and it closed the app there were six hundred something raw files in my trash and I emptied it. Literally maybe 30 minutes later I tried to open my gallery in it said "free up some space some features may not be available" and when I looked both my phone and my SD were at 99% full. Even though my SD card should have had at least 40 gigs free after I deleted that folder. Why isn't there a built in defrag program on these fucking computers we call phones?

@C0R3Y_C

Good tips! But my best method after awhile is just to backup all your files / pics etc. Then just factory reset

@hundedbarz718

They did this intentionally on the older phones you could go to your settings and you would see that it copies every picture you have in a clip tray once you delete it half of the space becomes free on your phone this time on these new phones it's storing them but not letting you access them there's no SD card and there's no way to get to that file where it's being stored you gotta get the Samsung somehow because they created this c***

@TimAirWalker

I'm a content creator, so I go through ALOT footage on my phone (galaxy s10e). Either way, I couldn't figure out why my "other storage" was so freaking high! I unfortunately factory reset my phone, which kinda helped, but the issue came back.

Long story short, if you are rotating a bunch of clips from horizontal to vertical, then "video editor" app is saving a bunch of background data in "other storage" just in case you want to revert a media clip to how it used to be. Go to storage settings and clear the data for that app (not just the cache).

Hopefully that helps somebody out there struggling.

@Lucille-kf9

Thank you for this video tutorial, it was a huge help and my phone was able to breathe again.

@abhichi

There is no solution. I have gone to multiple service centers even had a chance to discuss this with Samsung engineers. Only solution is to format. Thats it. Kindly pin this comment for everyone out there having this issue

@2jerby

it actually worked without any apps to download! thank you so much!

@karenbennett4253

Hi in my storage on my Samsung galaxy A21s it has on other 15.43 gb taking my storage I can't download apps and I have to close every app when I go onto zoom to get a 1Gb to use it. I have some apps on the sd card too. It doesn't matter how much I clear cache it won't give me the storage back please let me know I only have 98% left out

@mrhristv

You just can't randomly have 30 GB of "other" data. This is way over complicated for a reason we all know.

@justmyke24

I deleted everything and i still have 95% used storage

@psfgtech

I have 1/2 the apps and I backed up most of my pictures and videos and how 128gb is filled 128gb, 107gb "other". It's crazy. I see a push for cloud storage, problem is, on my account, I'm not allowed to remove my information that I pay for. Google are criminals

@Doggo_is_sus

Guys basically "others" folder is the data you download in apps and the cache stored in apps. The other day I deleted like 10 gb worth of cache and the others storage went down like 8gb. So clear your cache😊
