@parispc

The Sniffer being able to sniff Cyan Flowers would literally be perfect lore-wise. It sniffs up an "ancient seed" from an era long ago...

@dokchampa9324

My fav feature was the fact that Steve used to always spawn on sand. Idk why i liked it so much but I felt like it implied that you're a shipwreck survivor, or were just mysteriously washed ashore before the game began. One time due to this I actually spawned not on a beach but on a small patch of sand right under a tall sheer cliff, this made me think "Oh! This Steve fell down from that cliff and lost all his memories. I wonder why he was up there, I wonder what happened before?".

Idk, it just felt like a near little piece of worldbuilding and being able to spawn nearly anywhere now is kinda boring in comparison.

@RylerXan

Sniffer being a bridge to connect with removed features is such a GREAT IDEA

@leightonpetty4817

As someone who hasn’t booted up Minecraft in years, hearing Zombie Pigmen mentioned in a video of “Cut Content” was WILD

@thomasdevlin5825

The most egregious feature removal in minecraft history was custom worlds. I used to love custom worlds, I always disabled water pools every time I'd create a new world, but they replaced them with an infinitely more inconvenient version of itself by turning them into JSON files, then they removed them from the game entirely. They eventually gave us back the option to do biome only worlds but it isn't even close to he same

@markerikson7423

5:10-38 "Charcoal? String? TNT? It's yours, my friend, as long as you have enough RUBIES!"

@Nzcade

I can’t believe Beast Boy was actually canon to Minecraft at one point

@summercrews5620

Fireflies being removed because theyre poisonous to frogs is so stupid, like that never stopped those two from being found in the same biomes irl?

@BlueMarioGaming

You kids today don't know just how rare pumpkin seeds were back in the pocket edition days. Back in my day, we had to go to hell and back JUST to get half a stack of those darn things!

@minimario350

10:33 the reason it gave those items is because the world wasn't infinite and it was very likely it wouldn't generate things like deserts or pumpkin patches, so in order to let players still have access to those features, the nether reactor core would also give out melon and pumpkin seeds, and cactuses, along other interesting materials and items

@diamondmemer9754

What if the secret settings never left and they just became so secret that no one has found them yet

@LeCoinCMoi

I kinda miss the "-remove herobrine" from the game update thingy

@JasperPino

Wow that adventure time clip at 5:32 was literally perfect for this situation 😭😭

@entothechesnautknight1762

It is worth noting that Fireflies aren't toxic to frogs, just some specific species, and Mojang absolutely knew that. Fireflies were removed because of technical reasons that made them difficult in the Engine to handle, but Mojang decided to lie and spread misinformation that all frogs couldn't eat fireflies instead of just saying that, and that is why the controversy happened.

@DCBiscuit

I read a comment somewhere that pitched the idea of bringing back a TON of cut items or concepts and letting the Sniffer find them. The quiver, redstone gears, Nether Reactors, Red Dragon eggs, so on. It honestly sounds like a cool way of making the Sniffer actually useful while organically implementing features people miss from the old days.

@juanrodriguez9971

The interesting thing abput Rana is that she was the at the time new art director's OC, she has lots of artwork by him and was included as a test to try the new art style, and she didnt stay because beta players at the time hated the art style and the director had to leave due to outside reasons so he couldnt even try a different style.

@ArsonRaboot

I think this video was pretty neat and I hope you make a sequel! But instead of talking about many different cut features, you should spend an entire 18 minute video discussing the Giant and how the removal of him has ruined Minecraft and made it not fun anymore.

@SemiHypercube

9:39 I really hope they add a way to turn bushes into dead bushes, it'd finally be a renewable source of dead bushes. Also it would just be a huge missed opportunity if they didn't have that, like it makes perfect sense

@BlueMarioGaming

Odyssey Central says "Mario" at 16:08. Very close call Odyssey Central, ensure that it doesn't happen again.

@Flamingpaper0

Something of note for the Horse Saddle was that for the brief period of time it existed, it had a max stack size of 32, which is unique to any other item in Minecraft's history
