As a former starbucks employee this is extremely frustrating. Customers expect us to know the entire menu (which is of course our job) but then somehow also keep up on all the trends and every single drink that people make up on their own and say is on some "secret menu". Its ridiculous. Also if you would've just told the first starbucks the ingredients of the drink instead of calling it a "tye dye Frappuccino" they would have just made it for you.

Ex starbucks worker here - we don't have time to keep up with stupid secret menu trends. If it is not on the menu you see outside, assume we have no idea what it is. Just look up how it's made and tell us. We've had to explain this to parents who cone in with kids and it is honestly one of the most annoying things

Personally I think this is disrespectful to the Starbucks employees because you're expecting them to know a drink that isn't technically an official drink. It's CUSTOM drink made by someone, not an actual drink Starbucks designed or created. And by asking for it by name and not just telling them what's in it, your expecting them to be keeping up with the custom drinks random people made and liked. And then thinking you can get mad when they don't know what your talking about. If you made it this far, good for you. Not trying to be rude, I just don't like the way this is portrayed.

as a starbucks barista this is so frustrating đđ no, we donât know the âstrawberry cheesecake frappuccinoâ or the âlittle mermaid drink.â thereâs no secret menu. if you tell us the recipe, we can make it for you, but itâs not an official drink that we are trained to make on our menu.

Edit: if you want a secret menu drink, like a tiktok drink or something, know what you need to order or have the recipe for it. We know our basic menu, we don't know and won't bother learning the secret menu drinks because they are usually very customized. We are more than happy to make them if you know the recipe and have it. But with the tie dye drink, every partner I've met, hates the idea of it lol Had a kid order the tie dye frap at our store once. It is like 4/5 different fraps in one. He was charged with 5 small frappucinos cause just no lol, that's way too much work for a single frappe đ
