@hail2703

I don’t see anything alarming. We shouldn’t idolize anyone. Period.

@bearlycountry2406

For someone who didn’t read the book for a movie she did, it feels pretty rich to hear her question the interviewer that way.

@RachaelMortician

To me, Blake reminds me of every mean popular girl in high school where you know they're being condescending, but it's masked by humor and laughing.

@dp30

I am the interviewer. I did not consider her rude. She was fine. People are hysterical about all this. If you want to see the whole interview, it's on YouTube on my DP/30 channel

@989Lyra4

“DID YOU READ THE BOOK BLAKE??”

@mayluz444

This interview is not a good example, its actually quite normal

@nickyb7266

No celebrity should be idolized! Period!

@koolpebble

I'm looking through the comments and I'm noticing a lot of people don't think how she behaved in this clip was rude. I get it. The thing about Blake Lively is she's very casual about her meanness. People are often taken aback and laugh it off. But if you compile all the interviews and interactions she had with people, you start to see a pattern, which is that she's super rude, condescending, and sometimes mean. There's nothing funny about it. She loves to make people feel bad about themselves. Another reason it's so hard for people to believe or see that she's rude is because she's beautiful. If ever heard of the Halo Effect, you'd know what I mean. The Halo Effect tells us that our perception of people can be dictated by how attractive they are. The more attractive someone is the more we see them in a positive light and vice versa. So this is exactly what's going on here, IMO.

@BlueTuesday-d1g

To everyone saying it's not that bad, please understand the concept of plausible deniability. Mean folks usually act juuust nice enough that they can deny everything, and it's only when you step back you realize the pattern. Anyone who's known someone like this will recognize it.

@erock52184

I bartended for 20 years so to me reading body language is as easy as someone with a PHD reading nursery rhymes. I’ve had many customers like Blake over the years. Instead of simply pointing out a mistake respectfully, they will drill you and ask why you thought you were right. Then they will genuinely wait for your “answer.” It’s a tactic very insecure people use to make the “help” feel small. Usually they’re not even conscious of what they’re doing which makes them even harder to deal with because it adds a layer of deniability for them. Blake’s body language to me screams “I mask my insecurities with condescension.” Best only to interact with people like that if you absolutely have no other choice.

@amkhanson1

He asked a vague question and she was like…that could mean anything, dude. Then, realized he didn’t do his job to prepare for the interview and was trying to wing it…essentially wasting everyone’s time. She did nothing wrong here.

@brendarudman8806

Blake is always twisting the interviewer's words- trying to stir
This is a pattern with her
She should behave more maturely in interviews
and stop overeacting to every question

@VibeChick333

I think it pains her to be nice

@xstacieme

She is a mean girl. Telling Justin she is Kalesi and she has her dragons...like he is no one.

@sarahwhyld5596

This is not as bad, but she definitely didn't go out of her way to help him out. He sounds nervous. And it was rude of her to pull a face, then laugh, and then call out to someone else for support. If I wanted/needed clarification, I would either make a joke out of it and play on the possible innuendo in that question, or smile with eye contact and say the same sentence, like I was interested rather than irritated.
The woman has a bad attitude.
She needs to understand this is part of her job description and remain professional. She should treat every interview as important as she would an audition. Every job has a negative aspect of it and most of us don't get paid millions for it.
NOBODY is above basic matters.

@ALPHASECTOR_GAMING

Interviewer asked the most broad question ever. He sounds like he doesn't even want to be there.

@kosmosbjm

I see condescending attitude here and in other interviews. She continually tries to take over by coming back at her interviewers with her own question. We’re going to give you a pop quiz, is a way of controlling the interview.

@stephbutler8704

Its telling how a person begaves towards someone with less power than them. And it would seem that Blake can sarcastic, patronising and dismissive. As the expression goes, it's not a good look.

@fogonamontanha

She doesn’t seem to have much patience or kindness

@IndigoRainn

Stop bullying people. Stop wanting "the downfall" of people. Human beings with hearts and souls just Luke everyone else. I'm so tired of how bored or sad or angry everyone is in their own lives that they wish others to fall apart for their distraction. Get into your life. Grow your heart. Shine a light, but don't dim other people's light.
