I remember my first time reading Jonah and seeing how different it was to what I'd grown up thinking about it! And also I agree, it's so relaxing listening to something in the background while you're doing something 🐟

@NathaniaDemecillo

For Bible Telling in the National Student Convention 2023 I did the story of Jonah. I kept reading the story over and over again before performing to become familiar with the story and it’s great that you are making a video about it because I get to learn more about the story in depth. Thank you. I also want to read the whole Bible one day like you did except a month may be a too short of time for me lol. Maybe in a year would be more realistic. I really appreciate that you read the whole Bible and are making videos about them. God bless and have a blessed New Year!

@annamarieke

Great video! The Bible project has a great podcast series about ‘the chaos dragon’ and part of it is about Jonah’s story and the ‘whale’

@KevKev767

I've never made the connection between the leviathan in Job to the giant sea creature in Jonah. That's really cool.

@MattNineFive

I love your Bible videos, and this one is especially amazing! I never realized how much Jonah was running from his calling—it’s so relatable. Many of us struggle with following God’s plan, but this story really shows how things align when we trust in the Father’s plan. Thank you for sharing this!

I’m really enjoying your videos 😊
Also the story of Jonah is a good one, it shows no matter what we can’t thwart GOD’S plans, HIS will WILL be done ❀
Also I can relate to Jonah in wanting GOD to dish out HIS wrath, but I need to remember I was once a sinner who was storing up GOD’S wrath and deserved to be wiped out but GOD was so patient and loving and kind so I need to remember love and patience, and keep sharing the gospel because JESUS is the answer to transforming hearts

🐟 You did a great job on this video. This is a great story in the Bible and you did a great job explaining it. It goes to show that you don't really understand the Bible until you look at it deeply and think about it. This is a wonderful video and I enjoyed watching it! 🐟

This book seems to be unfinished too

Yes...turning Jonah and "the Big Fish" into Jonah and the Whale for kidlets...has created an inaccurate story which has largely been accepted as "truth"...even though it is inaccurate. Modern "mis-statements" from scripture have given rise to several inaccuracies...I find the largest being the "nativity" scene. Reading in Matt 2:11 - And going into THE HOUSE, they (they wise men) saw the child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshipped him...". Also...it was the "gifts" that were 3. The wise men were at minimum TWO and possibly many more. Nice video.

You see... I'd heard that it wasn't really a whale. That we just repackage it that way for kids.
But LEVIATHAN? I'm Shook. That's... Both wild and kinda... Not cool, exactly, that's not the right word, but definitely a super interesting element
