This deserves like millions of likes, very underrated channel, love Anthony's guide in the 14 Day filmmaker, I wish I had teachers like him
Such a great video! I recently enrolled in 14 day filmmaker and it’s helped me sooo much. Anyone who is a striving filmmaker, no matter where you are in your career needs to enroll right now!!!
loaded with wisdom....my fav channel
Thanks Anthony,. You guys rock.
I'm new to all this but your tips, insights and advice are motivating and help cut through a plethora of noise about kit, technology and other stuff which can feel confusing. Thanks.
Very valuable info 👏👏👏
Well done dude. Another great video with tons of useful info!
Thanks, Anthony and Paul for continuing to provide valuable resources and motivation. Much appreciated.
Great stuff Anthony! Thank you for continuing the education past the 14 Film Maker which I absolutely love!
Awesome information thank you for this….right on time! Impactful and appreciated reminder.
The skill I’m focusing on is motion graphics. At work I use After Effects, and at home I use Davinci Resolve Fusion. I’m loving finding the strengths and weaknesses of both layer-based and node-based motion graphics. I definitely still prefer After Effects, but I’m really starting to see the value of Fusion.
Well done Anthony and Paul. Another great piece of helpful content. My #1 skill for focus at the moment would be either LIGHTING or MOVEMENT. I need to sort my scripting out too!!!!
Hustle and focus. So unfocused... procrastination pro... but I m getting there.... and your 1 day script course is already making me money:—)
What about storytelling? I think that it is a crucial skill. To me it is the most important in order to engage the audience/target group and keeping them wanting to see more. I might be biased as I have some experience as a writer😊
Thanks for this video. Right now I'm focused in developing my storytelling. I've heard that a good story always wins.
So valuable!
I enjoyed your "top 10" list. I'd like to, in an abbreviated comment, add some ideas about your comments on video freelancing. I agree with your list, especially items 1 and 2. Of course the other 8 can be added too, rearranged and supplemented. F.Y.I. I am past retirement age and spent 30+ years doing the independent videographer dance. I could espouse so much about my numerous experiences but you hit the high points perfectly. I graduated from an accredited university film school. I learned film (16 and super 8mm film), not video. This type of production taught me and my fellow classmates "FILM" techniques and production elements few build from in these times. After graduating, I and my co-horts went different directions. My 2 friends/roommates went the L.A. route. My closest friend became an "A" list gaffer until he passed away (to young at 58). Jim Tynes you are missed! My other roommate became a TV lighting designer. Lisa Gilhousen was wickedly bright and was paid well for it. I evolved into video (it was still new technology at that time when I started). I began by using tube cameras and VHS tape (YES VHS TAPE). I built a small soon to be larger production company. I started with weddings and after 30+ years I shot every conceivable video (No PORN it was offered I declined (garbage in garbage out is what I saw)). I built a company that supported me, my wife (a stay at home artist/mom who also passed away too young, last year) and 3 children and 2 nephews. I traveled extensively and videod everything from meetings for the living, and autopsies of the dead, commercials even legal documentaries and so much more! As computers came along I branched out into animation "Lightwave" was great software. I had many 6 figure years and lived very well, but worked too hard- it took its toll on my health. I am going to review your other "YouTube videos" and follow your channel (this video nailed the 10 quite well). If I find reason to further my comments I will, perhaps discussing audio, production (an area so important and never addressed adequately), pre and post production, along with other thoughts. In closing I recommend a book by Steve Stockman "How to Shoot Video that Doesn't Suck". A book I wish had been around when I dove head first into video production. Thanks for your insights I hope your message is received by those who need or could use it.
Your all I'm just learn more your videos brother your just wow
Great video! I enrolled in 14 Day Filmmaker, and so satisfied that I followed immediately with 30 Day Course Creator. Pure happiness and it helped me a lot tidy up my business as an online coach for professional with an online activity. I highly recommend this course!!!
