That Direct is a 10 out of 10. Hear me out - its not the best Direct ever. But they didnt set out to do that. They set this direct out to sell and explain the new Donkey Kong game. And it did that perfectly. At what it set out to do, it was perfect. 10 out of 10.

Easily one of the best Directs I've seen — pure magic. I was already somewhat interested in the game, but after this Direct my hype shot straight into the stratosphere. I’m now fully convinced this could be a major GOTY contender.

I had a feeling Diddy Kong would be treated along the same lines that Luigi was in Odyssey. But at least Diddy was in the base game. He didn't have to wait a couple months for an update.

Honestly, I was thinking about passing on this game. With the price increases I wasn’t sure it would be worth buying. Thankfully I avoided the leaks and was gagged when odd rock was revealed as Pauline. This direct totally sold me, I can’t wait!
