@JoshandKatie

Glad to see so many of you in the comments would love to take a $50K pay cut to work for Elon! I'd encourage you to apply.

@tobydammit6599

No more free smoothies! No more free lunches! OH THE HUMANITY!

“If you truly understand the mind of a tech employee”

What he meant to say is “we are all incredibly entitled and expect everything for free”

@Ctrl.Alt.DeFeaT

So basically elon is a bad boss because he doesnt spoil and pamper his employees and they have to pay for their own lunch. Ok

@Iyiouseismouse

Your right. Making 100k and ALMOST having to have had to buy lunch… I felt that.

@JeremyLynnes

"He treats his employees like replaceable tools that he uses to fulfil his mission." Oh child, you have so much growing up to do.

@edgarwideman737

Let me correct him. Twitter employees will have to start getting work done instead of eating Doritos infront of the company TV.

@sauliruottu5871

I honestly don't know what to say. Twitter is a total exception when they pay the employees for their breakfast, lunch etc. That's a bonus, not a standard, so welcome to the real world after your Twitter career.

@oldrumors

I now understand why Twitter is doing poorly. Imagine all those “rewards” to implement something as easy as a web platform, with some AI in it, versus building new technology for cars or rockets, or tackling the autonomous driving problem.

@Joe_Brig

200k salary for a first real job? Bubble is about to burst. Twitter and Netflix layoffs are the beginning.

@kurtztraining

Are all Silicon Valley tech employees this entitled? What happened to creating value and being rewarded for it? Why does my generation feel they need to be valued before doing anything of value?

@DavetheLeg

It's weird that I always hear how it's bad to work for Tesla on social media but every person I've ever spoke to in real life say it's the greatest place they've ever worked for.

@yannhk

Now it is fully justified why Elon can fire at least 50% of the staff. When these people care about free lunch and free smoothies and head home at 4:30PM, you can't expect these people to deliver good products fast and great.

@greeneyeshade8895

Newsflash: Most people don't get free smoothies. I understand the mind of a tech employee, you're spoiled and are evading taxes.

@edwinprado5620

Bro literally got a taste of what the rest of us live day to day and started complaining Lmao

@Sunny-hv7pt

There will always be someone willing to do your job...for less money and work twice as hard. There are new engineers graduating every year.
One of the best advice I was given by a college professor was, don't burn your bridges.

@giusepperana6354

I'm simultaneously empathetic with the greed of wanting the most cushy gig with epic free lunchies, but at the same time I'm disgusted by the sheer entitlement of thinking that 150k per year for your first job isnt good enough.

@TheFiggers7777

Maybe that's why Twitter makes no money. Shits about to change.

@mikeg445

Sounds as if they just don't like being treated how 99% of companies treat their employees, actually probably still better.

@mythoughts5615

😅😂 one company is valued $1 trillion+ and the other has been stagnant for years but hey you got free smoothies...

@ecebear3

Tech employees are delusional. They don’t realize how overpaid and pampered they are.
