I honestly don't know what to say. Twitter is a total exception when they pay the employees for their breakfast, lunch etc. That's a bonus, not a standard, so welcome to the real world after your Twitter career.

I now understand why Twitter is doing poorly. Imagine all those “rewards” to implement something as easy as a web platform, with some AI in it, versus building new technology for cars or rockets, or tackling the autonomous driving problem.

There will always be someone willing to do your job...for less money and work twice as hard. There are new engineers graduating every year. One of the best advice I was given by a college professor was, don't burn your bridges.
