I think they used Oblivion Remastered as a shadowdrop test run, and with its success they will do a short run on TES6 too. Just not as short

Bethesda isn’t going to reveal anything about The Elder Scrolls VI until the year it’s coming out. They already have the teaser out there and people know they are working on it. I think 2027 is definitely an overly optimistic guess, I think realistically it’ll be out at 2029 at the earliest. I wouldn’t be shocked if we got a 2031 release to match with the 20-year anniversary of Skyrim.

If we see es6 this year, it will be 2026 imo. Bethesda usually don't release teasers or trailers more than 1 year before release.

I'm guessing since they just released Oblivion remastered, that was done to hold us over for a long time, so likely 2028

I mean, I think it's fair to expect at least 5 years of development time considering how long the previous elder scrolls games took (about 4 years for Oblivion and 5 years for Skyrim, also keep in mind development times have expanded with time so it could be even longer), so honestly I feel like 2028 or beyond might be a more reasonable guess considering I don't think they began full development on the game until starfields release in September 2023
