Oh God, I really don't want them to take inspiration from Grant Morrison's run for Talia's characterisation. Morrison themselves stated that they were working on shaky memories of the Son of the Demon story and as a result completely mischaracterized Talia. Thankfully they re-retconed it so that the way Damian was conceived was like it was originally but the damage was done.

This is a pretty dope idea for a full saga. Nightwing should only be in flashbacks for an Under the Red Hood movie. Totally down for the the idea of Red Robin & Robin chasing down Arkham villains courtesy of the league of assassin’s so that the Jason & Bruce story can stay personal to them. That’s a smart way to include the family but keep the conflict focused on Jason

Agreed, really hope this is more comicbooky with the grey-blue suit and the white eyes! It needs to stand on its own outside of prior versions. I also hope we get projects relatively frequently, I respect Gunn's desire for a completed script before production but it is a connected universe and things need to come out regularly enough that they actually connect

Love hearing your take on DCU Batman! I've been recently getting into DC Comics, so I'm pretty hyped for what the DCU holds. For my first big Batman run I've been reading the Scott Snyder run and it's a lot of fun. I feel like you could turn the Court of Owls storyline into a pretty good movie. Your previous video on DCU shows convinced me to add Animal Man, Mister Miracle, and Birds of Prey to my reading list, so thanks for that!

I really hope Brave and the Bold doesn't depict Talia as a villain like Morrison's run did, that just isn't the character. I don't want to blame Morrison entirely for this as Talia in the comics was taking a more villainous role in comics since the Early 2000s, but Morrison really brought that into Batman comics and kinda ruined her character. The whole reason the story of the League of Assassins actually works is that you could legitimately see Bruce being with Talia and leading the League if the League weren't killers, but in order for that to be the case you really have to make Talia a good person deep down. She basically needs to be the conscious of the League, someone actually willing to go against her father, maybe not directly against Ra's but in more subtle defiance, maybe having her train Damian to be more like bruce and less like Ra's. Honestly, if you need a villainous daughter of Ra's al Ghul, Nyssa is right there as an underused characters who has yet to really be adapted properly in any media outside comics. I personally don't care too much for Lady Blackhawk as a member of the Birds of Prey. She's a cool character but her only real role on the team was as the pilot and I feel like any of the Birds could do that. Also, I'd move David Cain into Season 2 since that's when you're introducing Cassandra Cain and he really has no connection to the Birds of Prey, his main connection is to Cassandra Cain. I have been saying since the reveal of Brave and the Bold for the DCU and knowing the BatFamily is pre-established that it would be really cool to see Under the Red Hood as the second Batman film, especially if the DCU Batman films are going for a bigger focus on the BatFamily, it just makes sense and people have been wanting a Under the Red Hood live action film for years. I think having No Man's Land be the end of a Batman Trilogy is really cool, it's the first REAL BatFamily event, bringing basically every Batman related title together in one of the best BatFamily events ever and while it has been loosely adapted before I'd love to see a much closer adaptation and since the DCU is establishing the BatFamily this would certainly be a great time to do that. I also wanna add that I think it would be really cool to throw a Gotham Central show in there as well during the No Man's Land stuff, using that as a chance to explore the GCPD more as well as use some Batman villains you wouldn't be using in the main films and show how the GCPD would deal with those threats. I also don't think we need a Battle for the Cowl film, not just because we already have Under the Red Hood but also because it's not really a good story in my opinion, it's really just a filler story and you could honestly just have Dick take the mantle of Batman without anyone else trying to take it for themselves.

yesss my goat coming out swinging with the most correct takes on red hood 🙏🙏🙏 (also, i think a new under the red hood movie should take inspiration from the captain america winter soldier movie. red hood and comic accurate bucky are so similar, and catws does a great job adapting an already iconic storyline into something even greater)
