My attraction to women doesn't give me authority to act on it. Its hard. Just cause i married one woman doesnt mean i wont ever be attracted to another. But betrothed to one. More importantly betrothed to christ as apart of his bride and my wife also to be His bride in eternity.

I think this shame of homosexuality is what's keeping lots of people away from the church. Jesus calls us to repentance not to shame. He does not give us shame of our sins. this is the accusation of the Devil. Shame makes us keep our sins to ourselves and to shun those who we need most, those we are afraid to confess our sin to. I am sorry if you had no one in the church you could turn to confess your sin without facing shame.
