As someone that took Japanese back in highschool, and lists it on their resume. This is the most accurate depiction of that ever.

@MGN_73

That was the most perfect choice of words ๐Ÿ˜‚
This line was my favorite โ€œtoday is Wednesday, I donโ€™t understandโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

@rmsfavoritelilcrab4006

If I were a Japanese passenger, even a first time flyer, I would not be mad. This would brighten my day honestly. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@Melanie-mced

I would definitely not complain if I were a passenger, that's hilarious

@martaleszkiewicz5115

"Took Japanese in college" doesn't even remotely suggest "Fluent in industry-specific technical Japanese with all the correct clauses and honorifics".

@carsengrigaitis327

I love when people hear me speak Spanish and they donโ€™t know it. They think Iโ€™m doing great but Iโ€™m literally just telling the customer โ€œif you speak slowly I can understandโ€ ๐Ÿ˜…

@hotate3datte

Just a random Japanese passing by. Your pronunciation is great! And with that awkward announcement, we'll know what's going on behind the scene๐Ÿ˜‚

@suki1615

If it was my language, I would either laugh and respect the hustle or not even realize what happened because I'd have noise-cancellation on.

@toxsicdoe4012

When my coworker told a Korean woman, I knew chinese and could speak to her ๐Ÿ’€(I was studying japanese btw) Definitely mortified. Her ex-husband was Vietnamese, btw. Thankfully, the Korean woman knew a good bit of japanese too because of her parents. She dropped a hint to my coworker that them knowing the language was against their will. But not many people in the South know or understand why it's offensive. She was a kind woman, I felt bad and explained to my coworker later.

@loljustdontwhywouldyou

As someone who speaks Japanese, your pronunciation was actually pretty good

@goupanddown

Wow your pronunciation is actually very good. You SHOULD be proud of it

@ใƒใƒณใƒ‰ใƒซ4

My first language is Japanese, honestly you pronounce it quite well !! I was shocked because I was expecting some mediocre stuff but it was good !?

@soundblast2602

Own the hustle. You spoke the truth! My cat is indeed Fat. Haha.

@djfreem6881

When you said โ€œthat was like eight years ago,โ€ I felt that in my core ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@ianpatterson2447

There was a job that required I spoke Mandarin. I lied and said I did because I doubted that I would ever have to use it. The manager was from Beijing. She opened up the meeting in Mandarin. I did not get the job.

@Gameboi9865

She must've graduated from Duolingo because those sound exactly like Duolingo phrases ๐Ÿ˜ญ

@ozzysmith2571

Somewhere on that plane the Japanese winter soldier just got activated

@lr9376

I know very BASIC Spanish after taking 5 years. Started a job where the majority of employees were immigrants from Central America. I didn't realize how you can actually communicate things so easily with just base knowledge of a language. What you learn can get you from the airport to the hotel, or show direction of intention, and can in the least create general conversation. It's lovely. Everything else you learn by exposure. There is no excuse to NOT learn a common foreign language.

@katt1996

While I did not appreciate your comment on my daughter, she does appreciate that you applogized for calling her fat.

@nehas9417

ending it with "wakarimasen" is hilarious
