And one very important note, not all cases.of Lyme disease have a bullseye rash. So if you are bitten by a tick, you should secure the tick in a zip lock bag after removing it properly and take it with you to the doctor if you do get a rash or if you start having signs of an infection.

@lisamaggart952

According to the CDC, "Most cases of Lyme disease can be treated with 10-14 days of antibiotics."

@lisamaggart952

And it's not "Lymes" disease. It's "Lyme," a without the added "s." Lyme disease was named from Lyme, Connecticut, where tbe first outbreak of multiple cases was found.

How did we manage before "influencers "😂😂😂🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

@thatsickkidjaz1749

When I was about 10 I had to go to the hospital because I had multiple ticks on me and we didnt know how long they had been there. I had to have my blood drawn to be tested for lyme. I now have a fear of ticks.

@lisamaggart952

This information is incorrect. According to WebMD, " for Lyme disease, it depends on the tick. One transmits the infection between 4 and 72 hours; the other from 48-96 hours. For anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis, a tick needs to be attached for 24 to 50 hours."
