@HowtoMakeThings

He has given us the answer. All we need now is the question.

@pinballrobbie

Bless you sir, for drilling a pilot hole.

@pcoltrane3960

Its called a sprocket piece. Its function is to reduce the pitch of the roof to allow water run off to slow before reaching gutter. Very simple.

@coradrew7564

@leepennington4649

Suddenly it’s all so clear. Within this video holds the meaning of life.

@raisin8051

Love the dewalt bit on the Milwaukee tool, a man of his trade knows no brand loyalty, only what works the best

@severs1966

Screws that work reliably when driven into end grain. What a time to be alive

@domading2759

Can't wait to get to work on Monday and show all the guys what I just learned

@sweetvuvuzela4634

Thank goodness for this video I am a fully qualified doctor 🎉

@meyou3610

You're a genius! You put a screw in a hole that was pilot drilled! Never thought of doing that in all my years of wood working! Now I know what those things that have spiral grooves in them are, drill bits! Thank you, never would have figured that out! 😂

@guypierson5754

I mean…. I’m also a pro carpenter, in a different trade, but this technique isn’t terrible, the end grain screw is just to hold the wedge in position it won’t have any loading on it. I imagine since he has his wedges precut that it’s a distance that won’t make an issue with the slates, creating a void that will make them crack. For those saying it’s creating a flat spot you need your eyes testing, it’s still at an angle, not even close to horizontal, and from his accent he isn’t building in Dundee, there isn’t going to be feet of snow ever in this building’s existence

@noseconeprophets

Just glad to see someone who knows when to use a drill and when NOT to use an impact.

@dan_E_gee

I carry around a drill press for more precision on top of my 20 varieties of screws

@chomper4x4

It's a Horse trough for Squirrels, Raccoons, Opossums and tree climbing Goats.

@montanaelkwhisperer1744

you forgot to slap it and say "that ain't going anywhere!"

@wilburrrrr742

Whew, I'm so glad that a pro carpenter showed us whatever the heck he showed us. Imagine how confused we'd be if he was some guy. 😮

Wait.... what?

@nikolaykravchenko7528

Wow. I am truly amazed. This is a top quality education I am receiving for free.

@kirkpennell3028

Finally someone who drills pilot holes. 😊
