As much as I was glad that Denzel Washington had won his Best Actor Academy Award for "Training Day", he should've received this same award earlier for his role as "Malcolm X". He was absolutely amazing in that role!

Ethan Hawke became the Oscar-nominated and Denzel Washington won the 2nd Academy Award in 2002.
