To a point it started to annoy me when any other character would complain about ice king… honestly Simon was the first who kinda controlled the crown’s insanity to a degree. Only see how it affected Finn and also other users. The crown had the memory/wish and cognitive capacity of an ignorant teen dinosaur homunculus and still, ice king was capable of making music, have structure, create ice magic with certain order, establish some sort of relationships… I think is because of Simon’s intelligence like his brain capacity that allowed him to keep being functional to a certain extent… ice king was annoying and sometimes creepy, yes… but they could still handle him even with gentleness.
The realisation that every ice user IN ADVENTURE TIME was missed up
Forever staying in the same place, but still moving through time. The never ending knowledge that you’ll live forever. “In little ways, everything stays” -adventure time
That is why Bubblegum Princess and Marceline are the logical couple. Both are immortal and have the ability to support each other.
Don't forget that in the Jerry episode, the Lich finally seizes the weight of the completion of his immortality goal: end all life with him as the last immortal one, and the crippling desperation of losing purpose and having eternity to drown in it.
PB didn't panic and turn her family into Dum-Dums, they tried to do that to her, Gumbald betrayed the other two and then accidently did it to himself
bro does not stop making the best videos of the existence, he is a menace
I wonder how immortaility feels for Jake's Grandson Gibbon. He lived as a ruler of the Pup Kingdom and at the same time misses his mother Charlie as time goes by.
immortality is hell. You live while your family, friends, loved ones all move on and die while you remain.
The thought of Long Longevity, over Immortality has always intrigued ME. For I believe it could give people the “time” to live long and fulfilling lives. I don’t wish to be Immortal, I just wish to live longer. 😉
Bro out here casually making the best Adventure time analysis videos on YouTube 👏👍
Is there anything in adventure time that shows the lesson of how words overtime can change how a person feels about themselves, that would be a good episode
Really great review. Of course, it was worth mentioning Simon from Fiona and Cake, as the sensible Snow King is an example of a fairly realistic immortal being. From the realization of his immortality, he simply enjoys his opportunity, doing whatever he wants and ignoring the feelings of others, since they are just a moment for him. In a way, the Emperor from the Warhammer 40,000 universe followed the path of BG, completely devoting himself to the rule of mankind, where his every action was aimed at the common good of people, although he could not help but be mistaken, although who knows? Even all his friendships followed this one way or another. If you think about it, immortality can be a gift, depending on how you use it. You can accumulate incredible knowledge and share it with everyone so that your immortality will have an effect on everyone. Ps. Hello from Russia. We have a lot of fans too.
The line “one drowns in duty” kinda made me chuckle a little, I am very immature
17:39 as soon as I heard that I immediately thought to myself this was one elaborate Five Short Graybles episode
No matter how many lessons warn me about the dangers of immortality I will always wish it upon myself.
If I was mortal I would like to regenerate like the doctor from doctor who so I can be different but the same
Yeah, I’m pretty sure immortality would be a curse for anyone. Never ending life is pointless if all the people you form bonds with and care about die over and over again. Immortality is just a never ending cycle of pain. The only way it’d be tolerable is if we had someone to spend eternity with. P.B and Marceline for example can live happily with their immortal lives as long as they have each other. To sum it up, it’s better when you only have so much time because it gives you more reason to live. You have more purpose.
This is the reason why i love Adventure time it has deepness and hidden messages
