There were so many mixed reviews I was a little scared to buy this.-I work 10 hour shifts https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxAxiUS5CgVC3j8FwNOHt037zhsquGQpXv and I can watch lectures, jam out, and read articles all day and only use 30-40% of the battery.-The screen is beautiful and the touch is accurate-The camera is on the edge, making this perfect for Zoom calls (I also have the keyboard with the back piece)-It's super thin. The bulk of my iPad kept me from using it often-I never realized how lazy I was until this pencil. The button and flick action (volume up and down, next and back) mean I can kick back without having to lean forward to make changes. I feel like a witch.Only 1 real complaint if it can even be called that, it comes with one background in like 6 colors. It's easy enough to find new ones... but why so stingy?
Hugh, great video as always but I'm not sure why you don't cover shattered screens with some kind of sticky tape before removing them, it would help prevent shards from going everyhwhere.
Another perfectly capable device saved from the landfill. Nicely done!
Wow! This was a very fast repair. Thank you Hugh for your inspiration!
Our Marketing Firm (job #2) uses these tablets all the time for in-store sales work. Pretty cool to see how you tackled this one, Hugh!
A quick and easy repair, nice video as always.
Worked on a much older Samsung Tablet and pleased to see they're no harder to repair with this generation.
One tip for removing the broken glass screen. You can tape it up with transparent packing tape to keep it more or less in one piece during removal.
You're an absolute boss, sir. Came across your channel a few weeks ago and watched your videos daily. Much love to you πβ
This device shows how adhesive should feel in devices these days. Many devices use too much adhesive that it's hard to remove when disassembling, especially in batteries. It should be easy to remove while able to hold on to it even in high temps.
Just recently repaired a Samsung galaxy A30. I thank this channel as it helped me to repair all sorts of tech
1:39 jefrey you can press volume down and power button to force shutoff any samsung device.
No Saturday is complete without a Hugh Jeffreys video! Cheers!
Thanks!
2:17 the complete contrast from the adhesive Samsung uses to hold their batteries in their devices
Itβs quite amazing that the tablet is A8 like the car made by Audi. This shows that Samsung uses a similar model naming system as Audi.
At 2:05 I just noticed that the tablet has battery pull tabs. Why doesn't Samsung add those on their galaxy phones huh?
I am very happy to see your work and how you save this tablet from becoming e waste love you β€οΈβ€οΈππ
