> Create a random writing video > Gain millions of views and a large, dedicated following > Consistently create dozens more videos over the span of 7 years > Decide to go radio silent one day > Refuse to explain anything for 11 months > Out of absolutely nowhere, upload a video that overhauls major aspects of the visuals and writing in a such a way that enhances the charm and humor of the original TWA style, yet stays completely faithful to the underlying principles > Give a single sentence of explanation Welcome back, you legend
"I thought you were dead..." "My death was greatly exaggerated"
>leaves for 11 months >comes back with new animation style and refined video format >leaves for 6 months
Dude, that line, “You should really be more worried about the execution,” that is a masterpiece. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
My brain can’t process these new animations
I recently saw someone on Twitter who said if your manuscript isn't publishable on the first draft, you shouldn't be writing at all. Clearly a student of Terrible Writing Advice taking your videos as seriously as they should.
JP remembered his password
Not uploading for 11 months while you write an actual book and coming back to yt with a script about minimal effort and quick success is comedy gold.
Instructions unclear, deleted links to tv tropes, and working on finishing short stories for practice. Seriously glad to see you back!
WOAH, he's not only back, but animated?! Not remotely expected, welcome back!
And when the world needed him most, he returned in HD
"being right is way more important than being effective" Boy you nailed the timing with that quote lol
Funniest trend in online writing communities right now is how there are plenty of people who’ve read manga and don't have any talent in drawing trying to write novels without any experience in reading books.
"Why do you want to be a writer, to become rich and famous?" No, I just have had this story and these characters in my head for about half my life, and now that I'm an adult and have honed my skill enough, it's time to share them with the world. If I actually get a passive revenue stream from the project, that would be wonderful, but as long as my character's get the story they deserve, I'll be happy.
Nah, "I already know everything--Dunning Kruger told me so" is the greatest line you've said yet.
In true clout-chasing means, JP, in his infinite genius, has become a Vtuber! Truly such a great channel. Obviously that is the real goal of every writer rather than writing, just follow trends online without having a single original idea! Thank you JP, I'll go work on that right away.
According to legend, if you stand in front of a mirror, turn out the lights, and say "Love Triangle" 3 times, TWA will appear behind you and give you unsolicited but seemingly sound writing advice.
I think JP realised that the only real way to become popular on Youtube is to post videos once a year and then just disappear without a single word. Audience will definitely not forget about the channel after all that time, since time flies so fast on the internet. And YouTube algorithms love infrequent uploads too!
8:42 Thank you! Especially with children’s media, every story has this dark, nuanced scene or topic. Which is good when done right, it feels a bit like every single story needs one, or else it’s not good. I love deep stuff in stories, but not every story needs one. Especially if you’re a newbie. This was a relief. Thanks, JP.
