@Donny_B

Photographing my kids' teammates is literally what got me into paid gigs. Just those little things has brought me so many clients from grads and Seniors to sports portraits.

@carljonesmedia

Started with my kids flag football, led to highschool football and now going into year 4 in the NFL! Always work on your craft and strive to get better, whether that’s technique or image quality!

@tmewborn1

Thanks, I have been shooting Action Sports mostly High School for many years as I am currently age 84. I appreciate your details in picking the best shots, etc., plus your editing. I came from a very poor family, My mother struggle to pay the necessary school fees. As a results all of the images I take are posted on a site free for the Youth's & their Families. I have watched you for years. I recently saw your interview by a young man, and your Dad speaking of sales. I admire that in you, your business success, and being true to yourself. I wish you continued success.

@theprofessionaldependa

Took photos of my daughter’s volleyball team this season. Gave the parents free access to all of the photos of all the kids. Helped me improve and was a great way to give back to the team that worked so hard all season.

@LILDEDOT529

Thank you so much for this video. I took photos for my daughter’s flag team yesterday. Sports is a different world from portrait photography which I’m used to. I use my 5D mark II. 70-200 2.8. I got so many almost great shots but a foot was blurred or the hand etc. I learned so much from just this one video and cannot wait to go back today

@Bildpixel

Great video Jared
Many simply forget that it takes several pictures
to the good photo or perfect moment!

@madtom67

Cropping is also photography 😁 Always entertaining to watch your videos, thanks!

@thesharpercoder

Love it. Jared went old school video on us with the exposure chalkboard. Haven’t seen that since the 2010s.

@SakuraHayashi-u2m

Can you please share what focus mode did you use? Did you use face detection etc? 😊 thanks

@buckrodgers2303

Love these long form tutorials.
Really miss your teachings.
I know there is a place for your reviews and news.
But I discovered you way back when you were explaining "Depth of field" in your back yard with a model Kermit.
Have learned so much from you Jared. Big thank you.
I still re-watch your "getting out of auto" course, regularly, always see something new with every view. Same with your "Flash" course too.
Please more tutorials 🙏

@_Suzuka_Joe

I took 3300 photos this weekend at a CMRA club racing event and going through them has been a total pain. This is exactly what I needed.

@reganalbertson3210

Very valuable for us dads/grandads. I usually make an album and save the qr link on my phone and the parents and others access their kids pix there. Those pictures will be treasured and you'll be appreciated for it. It's not for the money, it's for my grandson and his friends, and their parents. Share your gift!

@jonsmith5810

New subscriber here! It's been 20+ years since I sat down with a camera, but I appreciate your videos! Always great to have a reminder of a fresh new take on something I didn't know.

@MrSdbmgarcia

Love this!

@1880.photography

Photo mechanic is great and fast culling tool before moving into ligbtroom, i do crop most images just to level horizons and tweek the position in the frame, i dont like cropping in alot due to loss of pixels. I use a pair of canon 1dx iii , 400mm f2.8 ii and 70 200 f2.8. Shooting rugby in the UK . I think getting lower, sitting on a stool gets better pospective in sports as well. Nice video to show not ever image if great, even for experience professionals. I do use auto iso, light changes a lot in UK and Dslr vs Mirrorless i dont see the live exposure in view finder as mirrorless does. Keep up the great content.

@edamski8882

Great video, as someone who’s just getting into sports photography it’s great to have a reference.

Great to see this workflow for a single subject and i’d love to see a workflow when shooting a team/match and not concentrating on one person.

@ItsPinecone_911

11:30 mark I agree completly and did this at all my son's soccer games. We usually swapped photos in an app like GroupMe or TeamSnap that all the coaches where using.

@tonywhite3124

This is excellent.... The process and workflow is soooo informative, nobody around me critiques my photos so I have to shoot lots of sports and learn from these types of videos!

@indiewrestlingchannel

Wrestling photographer so I appreciate this!

@dirtlife.z

I did a hockey festival shoot "my first sport shoot" with a Nikon D750 & 24-300 f/3.5-5.6 + 70-200 f2.8. I shot mostly at 1/2000 F4 or 5.6 on the 300mm using Auto ISO with a max IOS set to 6400. It was quite a sunny day but was shooting from various angles so there were quite a few changes in light. Managed to get some good shots, especially on the faster 70-200 f2.8. My first day I ended up with over 1600 shot lol, the next day a bit less and over the weekend got a good idea of what to try and capture. Really fell in love with the sports photography but still have a bit to learn in terms of framing and getting the right shots. I ended up doing allot of cropping. These were just for social media so wasn't too big of a deal.
