As another 23 year old in Silicon Valley ca, I do none of this. I drive my fully paid off older gas car, I work a full 8.5 hours, come home, change, and do delivery or my second retail job until 10 PM. I say goodnight to my cats, I eat a homemade cheap meal and shower. Rinse repeat because rent and cost of living is expensive as shit here.

I used to work as a janitor in Silicon Valley and let me tell you that most companies give free lunch including janitors and agency employees. They also give free sodas and Red Bull and I used to sell those empty cans and every week I would get $300-$400 dollars worth of recycling!!! I was so happy cause my paychecks would be $700 dollars plus the $300-$400 in total was more than $1000 every week plus free food I was more than blessed those years. But that’s nothing compared of what the employees from the company I was cleaning were getting.

Stay single, and stay with your parents until you’re a millionaire. All that moving out and being independent crap is something some idiot made up trying to feel good about being broke.😂 only people who are independent, and being independent is amazing. if you have people that you can lean on in life and they’re happy to let you do it do it. There’s no sense in making life more expensive than it needs to be especially these days. you could go get your own place and date girls and then blow a ton of money getting mentally ill from heartbreak and a bunch of other crap and then end up struggling with debt so you can be like everybody else or you can stay with your parents stay focused and actually unleash your best life for the remainder of your life and then settle down with someone you actually like who’s mature because you’re not just kids hooking up and dating because you hooked up lol.

As a Silicon Valley resident I can confirm that many companies provide these services for free, but it's great that your company has a gym unlike many other companies. Honestly most of these activities line up with the days of every working individual in the Bay Area, sometimes I feel like we're all npcs
