Woke up this morning to the news. Half expected it. One of the things that has bugged me, is that Ange would never had made a unilateral decision to focus on the Europa league. After pleading for reinforcements in Jan and getting just Danso, Plan B would've been presented to Levy and the Munn, with clear "here are the risks, and this is the potential costs" and the decision would've had to be agreed to by the others. Levy, wouldve had to approve the decision given that first and foremost he is a business man. So, Ange is simply the scapegoat. He reset the club, won the trophy and got them into champions league. His job was done.

Hope Joe is feeling a little better. Poor fella. Great Pod as always. Helped me process the initial disappointment. I understand why it happened. Greatest one night of my entire Spurs fandom but the worst season experience I've ever had over each week. It was a true gruelling test and we got through it to have that crescendo at the end. I hope we sign a decent manager, happy if its Frank. When the season starts I will be all in all over again.

@richardhorvath5508

It really feels like Ange broke the glass ceiling, and now the Club is hiring someone to repair it.

@twosheds2030

It’s a truly shocking decision. We got rid of the Spursy tag for two weeks, and Levy has reinstated it straight away. Ange is the big winner out of it. Gets paid out, and straight into another better club with a winning culture, probably on more money. For Spurs fans it’s a nightmare. Back to being the joke of England, back to being Spursy serial losers. Sad, very sad

@lethalcoys

Very sad day for THFC.
Thanks for all the memories lads, you made them special.
Time to move on after five generations supporting THFC, we used to live in White Hart Lane.
The entity THFC is clearly now a business not a football club. I was hoping Ange could change that but it wasn’t meant to be.
Plenty of other clubs to support who have a heart and soul.
All the best

@michaelgiles7515

I came to Spurs as an Ange fan.. I'm going to hang around because I love the players and have a fondness for some of the fan base but I'll miss my Aussie Wog Boy 😓 COYS

@enricobrik3074

I feel sorriest not for Ange who will go to an even stronger future, or the coaching team, who will move on, but for the rusted on Spurs fans. You need to set up a Spurs Anonymous group to deal with your addiction to a fundamentally toxic, self-destructive organisation.
Not Spursy, Apocaspursic.

@GraemePotts

From Aussie: I think I have the following stat correct,….Levy 25 years,…. Managers 18,…. THATTTTT SAYS IT ALLLL!!!!#####

@ruthq84

When I heard the news this morning (Aus) all I kept thinking was "my future's assured mate" What a top guy
Good on you Ange! I'll still watch the interviews for entertainment COYS

@JohnFijiOz

Absolutely appalled by Tottenham's decision to sack Ange! Top businesses make data driven decisions. Spurs Boards decisions is pure emotion. Fixated on one data point—league position—ignoring his 2024-25 Europa League triumph, a brutal injury crisis, and a thin squad unfit for multiple competitions. Data shows with a healthy back 5, Spurs’ stats projected a 3rd-place finish! Ange, you reignited my love for the game and proved the power of the mind. “I always win something in my second season” is legendary and the most historic affirmation. Spurs’ shameful call!

@mikewilcox5284

To dare is to get the sack.

@peterbates7005

Imagine the new coach walking in the building every day with the pictures of Ange and team holding the cup and knowing that if you don’t finish top 4 or win the champions league you are out of a job, no pressure 😅

@diggerst3073

Feels like the EPL equivalent of cancelling firefly.

It never even got to season 2 ....

@Theroo2025

One thing worth considering…..Frank appeared to work well on a limited budget and only playing once a week…..BUT…that would attract Levy to him….and hence….Levy won’t be spending huge money on transfers as frank appears to show he doesn’t need them…..Spurs need a quality transfer window of experienced and proven mature players….but they come at a cost per week (high wages)….Levy will not do this !! IMO…spurs won’t win a trophy , not even a domestic trophy this season if the new manager doesn’t focus on PL. Problem being…spurs don’t have the squad to finish higher than 6-7th. Finishing mid table with no trophy next season , is not a successful season in my opinion.

@mikewilcox5284

Dressing room chaos ahead

@Spinsaweb

Bring in Kevin Muscat 😂😂😂

@jasonlomakin6722

It wouldn't surprise me if Spurs are interested in Chris Davies or Keiran Mckenna. I know a lot of people would say that Kckenna got Ipswich relegated, but if you analyze his achievements he's actually massively over achieved there. The same can be said about Thomas Frank. What he's done at Brentford is truly remarkable when you really think about it. His journey kind of reminds me of Pochettino's journey. Great job on your Channel and Last Word today dude.

@tzetv

Good luck boys.. see you on the other side of the fence. I have loved your players, some of the fan passion - but have hated the ownership and toxicity around.

You have done a great job with the pod

@light-v8z

You and Sim are the two best commentators going around! Please do more podcasts.

@the_sean

I may be missing something but if Ange really did get the approval of the higher-ups to hyper focus on winning the cup... the decision to sack him is inexplicable to me.

If I tell my boss I am going to only focus on one KPI to the detriment of the others. And I layout my reasons. The boss approves. I do exactly as I say. I'd be surprised and annoyed if I got booted at the end of the year.

I guess it's more complicated with the Ange situation.
