@DeadMeat

Hey good video, kept my attention the whole time. Nice work man.

@definitelycatherine7296

I want to see the version of this movie where Nicolas Cage plays the tire.

@overhaul3001

"It's not over yet. He's been reincarnated as a tricycle!"

@egalomon

Rubber is great! I tried  to recommend it to my friends, but after the first 5-10 minutes they were like "wtf is this crap?" :(

@briannabrittany3127

Great review. I loved this movie, and I think your explanation of it is spot-on. It's not about the tire. It's about the mindlessness of the audience, the vapid scripts, and the junk that audiences just gobble up without thinking whether it's healthy or good for you or not. The movie is too smart for its own good.

@benmellenchip5392

It's surprising how there can be so many messages around a film about a tire. Thanks for doing this never would have know if you didn't.

@thedoorlessvoid

"rubber is a movie about a tire, not a condom"

well here we go

@airex12

Another movie you might want to review is one called "Gummo"

It's just as weird and trippy. Look it up.

@Dalkemon

On a superficial level analysis of the movie, I would agree with you.  If you were to look deeper into the foundation of the movie, you would find that the common theme behind all of Robert's actions is this sense of Absurdity.  Google 'Absurdism' and you will find that it is a common theme of existentialism where there is a consistent struggle to find identity and meaning in life and ending in self-discovery.  Hence the mirror, the killing spree for the tire burning, and the tire revolution at the end.

@GoalieBecca

Rubber makes so much more sense now!!! When I first watched Rubber I thought it was just a movie about a tire that blows stuff up. Thanks so much for explaining this!!! I am going to tell everyone I watched it with to watch your video.

@teaforthepoor

It's ironic how I got a tire ad during this.

@SkittleJesususer

What if it was about a condom? Rolling around, exploding peoples heads. And in the end, a ton of condoms invade Hollywood.

@Ashsplashplays

You have such a colorful personality. I love your explanations and how indepth they are. Also as you people say, I fancy you lol

@erikmostert4483

I really enjoyed "Rubber" I think I watched around two years ago...
I also like your explenaition, it is similar to the way i explained the movie to myself, alltho i didn't think of the people watching as the movie viewing public, but just the media public in general (internet, youtube, television) but your explanation seems to make more sence, especially with the shot of the tire roling towards Hollywood (I forgot about that shot)

Nice explanation, if I were you I would have also mentioned that Dupieux is also the music producer behind, Mr Oizo form the track: " Flat Beat"
But that might just be me... I really enjoyed that song/track when it was released. Than again this vid wasn't about Dupieux but about Rubber.
Thanx for the vid.

@jackychao8060

Oh my fucking god FINALLY. I kept telling my friends the movie has a meaning but they just shut me off like "no it has no reason!!! stop being paranoided!!" but finally! Dupieux is probably gonna be my favourite writer now. man im like the special spectator😂

@saint-juste

I'd like to mention how basically every movie has a romantic side plot or is completely based on a relationship.

@tiffaniatkins2797

I think the meaning behind it was more about being a bystander to others misfortune.
We feel like if it doesn't directly affect us directly then the situation no more real than the movies we watch.
It's when we are faced with the reality that no one is immune to misfortune that we realize no one is ever truly a bystander.

@zegornayr2780

Llamas with hats, Charlie the unicorn, or Too Many Cooks please, all of them would be amazing.

@ThePotOwl

fantastic camera work in the movie and i agree the Director does know how to make a good film. after a few times mentioning it to some friends we all sat down and watched it eventually and i didnt quite get the reactions i thought. no reason.

@BlackPearl27

I watched the movie just to see this video. This is how much I love you Vinny. Keep being awesome.
