My dad always told me "every state of mind is temporary, so never act with haste". Good advice and has done me well

@CuriosityIgnited

It’s comforting to remember that moods are temporary, like weather patterns. No matter how stormy it gets, clear skies are always just a matter of time.

@havingagr8time

What I've learned to say to myself is "it's just a mood". As soon as I acknowledge that, I feel lighter and the mood begins to lift. So simple and very effective!

@larindanomikos

Perfect. This is exactly what I needed to hear right now. As a Buddhist we strive not to be affected by whichever way the wind blows but this is a constant struggle for me.

Press F for children who were never emotionally regulated by their parents, and never learned how to self-regulate

@LeoKelly-tk1ur

In gailge emotions are used differently, when saying I am sad (tá brón orm) it translates to sadness is on me. And it’s the same for all emotions which is a nice way to look at it. Emotions are simply temporary and passing through even if we think at the time this is how our life will forever be

@domerpy143

Couldn’t have been better timed

@VoMAA_

"Wholehearted amused skepticism" resonated with me. It's perfect

"We want to be solid and we can only be air and water, gas and heat, current and front"

bemusing yet precise!!

@kimberknutson831

Yes, we often want life to stand still, which it can't do because it is life. We also need sorrow in order to recognize its opposite: joy. Excellent, as always. Thank you. 💚

@jwetzel3141

Also we have to guard our moods from the slings and arrows of social media and “news”.

@Scoobin

Such a video as this is the reminder we so often need, whether we feel good bad excited bored or in-between, or how life is at this moment, that it's a temporary state, don't get too used to it. Change will come.

@ninjapeeps5

Bro, I know... I agree, this is exactly how it is. My moods just keep change from moment to moment. I can get so passionate about something one night, and then the morning after it's not that important anymore. Relatable.

@sharlharmakhis280

the thing about 'our opinions on things can change with how we feel' is SO true. I remember being a kid and picking up 'A Wrinkle In Time' for the first time ever when I was dealing with what I'm sure now was a migraine and I hated it so much I flung it across the room (which, for a bookworm like me, was scathing criticism indeed). I picked it back up later when I was feeling better, read it cover-to-cover, and loved it so well I went hunting for the rest of the series.

@steph-vb7vt

the amount of help you taught me, school of life is much more than my fingers could count. whenever i'm feeling down and confused, I find your videos and help me understand my situation more. thank you so much to the creators and staff of this channel. 🎉

@CoconutEarl

Thank you, Alain, for your ability to tell us the most difficult truths in such a gentle way.

@tayadennis1403

Proud of everyone who made it through their storms !

@Robert-yc9ql

Wonderfully done. 😊
We enjoy the simple animation here because it helps curb the daydreaming.
Having constantly been told to "Live in the moment", the phrase "For now" takes away all of the weight of the moment by showing it's fragility.
It is an assuring phrase, which comforts like a pat on the back...
Pour l'instant...

Thanks!
