for the dell's naming scheme in 2723 – 27 is 27 inch and 23 is release year.
Dell's new monitors u2725qe and u3225qe are amazing. Thunderbolt 4, 120Hz and enhanced IPS Black panels with 3000:1 contrast ratio.
The old LG Ultrafine 5k is around 500$ used on eBay. I got one last year and it’s still amazing.
I had an Ultrawide 40" LG, it is an incredible monitor, but not as crispy as a 5K monitor. With dual monitor 5K I achieved what I wanted, huge real estate, very crispy panels, and excellent image quality with the same price of an Apple Display. Ok, I don't have a camera, and speakers (at least decent speakers) with ASUS, but I already have a webcam and external speakers on my desk, not a big deal for me.
i don’t understand why people always say about this problem with scaling 4k resolution on mac. i recently have bought s2722qc from dell (4k, 27 inch, 400nits, 60hz) and it works perfectly fine with app called better display, it just fixes it and that’s it. if i’m wrong correct me , but for me it works perfectly. if anyone have questions, ask right away, i’ll help
I got the Dell U3223QE based off one of your previous reviews and now I want a 32" and 27" Dell 5k 120Hz monitor. I definitely do not need anywhere close to that resolution and refresh rate but I want to have a setup that will last for years with proper care and upkeep.
As a windows user and searching for a monitor where i will do %90 productivity and %10 gaming I am waiting for your review of U2725QE cant wait
I just picked up a used lg 27UP850n on eBay for $200aud ($125usd) basically brand new and it is so sharp! Can already tell this is gonna be a game changer
I've noticed I prefer the 5K resolution over the 120 Hz. I read more on the display than watching some animation/scrolling and prefer the clarity over the small bit of smoothness improvement. Ended up ultimately going with the Studio Display.
One of the best videos I've seen in a very long time. Quality at its best. I really appreciate it. That's the way it should be. ☮ Thank you!
amazing video. exactly what I needed. great walkthrough and thank you for providing the side-by-side comparisons!
Superb video and rundown mate, thank you.
Dell U3225QE. 31.5" 4K 140W 120Hz 3000:1 contrast. 450/600 brightness. Daisy chaining as well. Just under $1000. You're welcome!
Great review!!! Looking forward to your new dell 2025 monitor review. I was about to jump the wagon with new dells latest lineup but some holdback because few redditors had said they had an issue with coil whine and to the point is annoying. I don't wanna go to sleep with buzzing sound in my head. LOL Maybe your upcoming video will restore my fate on this new monitor.
Really looking forward to your dell u2725qe video
This video was very useful! I'm looking forward to your full review of the Dell U2725QE since it is the monitor I'm considering buying, however I'm a bit worried as I've seen some people complaining about bad backlight bleed and annoying coil whine noise. Can you take a look at those issues too for your review? Thanks!
Thank you for not insisting that anything less than 5K or specifically a Cinema Display is somehow an affront to Jobs, or that using a bog standard 4K display is somehow misusing your Mac. Really getting tired of that from other reviewers. Apple's Human Interface Guidelines are just that ... guidelines. I have a 43" 4K TV I use as a monitor and while I can see some pixelation, I don't care. And yes, it's less than the 1440p ratio my MacBook uses, but that doesn't matter to me either. I'd love to get the Asus ProArt display, but even at 'only' $800, I still can't justify replacing a perfectly good screen that only cost me $200 when I got it 10 years ago.
Great work! Comprehensive overview, useful comparisons, good range of options and prices. 🎉
Waiting for the U2725QE review video!!! I bought 2 U2723QE monitors last year based on your recommendation and loved it!!! Considering to update them with the new U2725s, a bit pricy though.
