This whole passkey thing makes zero sense to me! I log into my g-mail account from my phone, my laptop, my wife’s desktop, at work (at lunch time), the public library, and often hotel lobby public computers – do I need a passkey for all of those. What’s wrong with a password (mines pretty complex and not easily guessed)?

@whereisAdrian

i dont want to use a passkey i want to type my password in ...... i want to be able to click forgot password and reset my password ..... i cant reset my password for a passkey if i have to ENTER the password to set the passkey.,......im SICK OF GOOGLE

@brass427

I hardly ever use my phone for Google anything. My desktop and Chromebook are my usual go-to email devices, but neither has face recognition or fingerprint scanning. So what do passkeys actually bring, assuming I'd have to use a password on those devices anyway?

@Ninorc8

Great video. How can I opt out of using passkeys and return to username, password, and my YubiKey until some of the bugs with passkeys have been worked out?

@darin.nancymathews635

My Passkey page has a large yellow shield at the top of the page stating "A Passkey cannot be created on this Device". Otherwise, it looks like your. Any idea what would cause this?

I have a passkey for my mobile in my google account. But when I try to log into my some sites, they asks me to verify by mobile passkey and when I approve it in my mobile, it says that there is no key connected to this device. I can see my mobile in the keys in google account. How I can solve this problem?

@musikrelax4809

I'm running a project on laravel and I need that passkey for authentication by email, but the problem is that my device is maCos Big Sur so always I try to create passkey, I get error message chrome(I can't create passkey with my device) so I'm going to ask if I create by my phone, laravel will accept or no?

@TomO-nx1bd

if you save your passkey on a Yubikey, will you have to have the Yubikey inserted anytime you use the PC from that point on? Or, will the login session stick on the PC until you explicitly log out of Google and only then would you need to use the Yubikey's passkey again?

@driver288

Hi! Good one. Passkeys are awesome but what to do with the password after enabling passkeys? With Microsoft accounts I can remove the password from my account completely, but most services do not support or offer this. As I see it the password is still a back door to the account in question. Less so if MFA is active in the account but still. I could auto generate a very complex password and never use it which reduces risk but it’s still a problem if a data breach happens on the server side. They could then phish me with a clever message about my password and trick you into using those credentials and second factor to log in.

@kathygoding5245

Very helpful. I set up my passkey but could not remember how to use it right.

@mk8530

Does there come a time that the passkey expires, changes, or can be lost?

@MelodyReed-i7i

I need a passkey to do a two-step verification for a specific company company for pre on boarding and it keeps saying I don't have a passkey for this specific company HELP

@Snowflake0222

Is the passkey saved on your apple account in iCloud?

@azwaryusoff662

Wouldn't it be more secure if we use Passkey AND Password together??

@Chicago48

Is the passkey device Specific? - or if I have a computer and phone will it merge across devices? Also does the passkey eliminate or delete my PASSWORD? AND what if you have 2-3 Google accounts like I do? I have a job gmail, a Google gmail, and another Goog gmail?

@ShoaibAhmed1024-z6m

I wanna ask is passkey automatic generated for our device?

@davesmith9188

My phone did not ask for a fingerprint or facial recognization. I think it did not set up right.

@MichaelToub

Great Video!!

@danamj1960

Yes.  Thank you!

@ibstayfly

So there's pros and cons to passkeys basically. I heard passkeys are safer then passwords but now i kinda wanna try passkeys to see but then what if my phone gets lost or stolen then what happens

Everytime i login to amazon it tells me to use a passkey instead of my password. Does amazon let you enable 2 step verification instead of using passkeys
