@ExhaustedElox

"WHY AM I THE ONLY PERSON ON THIS BUS?!" That's how you open a scene.

@Jgm-gm9wi

‘Let’s not go to the World Series without Stilwell’s toys.’ I’m cracking up.

@ritadepeeves

As a kid i never knew what "avoid the clap" meant .... i miss being a child lol

@parkerbeard6170

"WHY AM I THE ONLY PERSON ON THIS BUS, WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR" 😂😂. My Mom laughs at this scene and still quotes this to me as well!

@warjdani

OH LETS NOT GO TO THE WORLD SERIES WITHOUT STILWELS TOYS!

@nrafter530

When I was a kid, I though "avoid the clap" was a baseball play reference, like a double play or squeeze or something. My coach laughed at me.

@killerdude35

I love how on edge Tom Hank's character is in this scene because he knows what's at stake. Its such a contrast to how this character was at the start of the season when he couldn't give two shits about managing this team. Tom Hanks is such an incredible actor!

@aqueen04

THAT'S GOOD ADVICE!

... He's not wrong, you know. LOL

@richb1576

65 years later.
Gold and Silver Pawn shop.
Thanks for bringing this in. Its a great piece of base ball history.
Ill give you 20 bucks for it.
Lmao

@allys744

I love how even this scene, with Jimmy’s obnoxious antics, he is developing as a manager and as a man.
He cares about the games and his players and their personal lives. He even stops to sign autographs for fans. Earlier in the film, when Betty asks him to sign her husband’s baseball card, he rips it up in a hangover fit. But here, even though his abrasive behavior is still intact, he is becoming more responsible.

@pegasus818

That's got to be one of the funniest movies ever made.

@spacekase2319

What I love about this scene and all the scenes after is Jimmy calling the girls by their names - it really shows his character growth.

@ch4rmc1tyher0

Let's not go to world series without Stillwell toys. And how excited that kid got being told to avoid the clap. Classic

@MrAzazel666

"Alice, what time is it where you live?" 🤣🤣🤣

@timobrien8809

Avoid the clap, Jimmy Dugan. Great scene great advice. Hope the kid took it !!

@stupidnamefilter

Tom Hanks stole EVERY FRICKIN SCENE. It was almost unfair.

@Leavon

He's right, it is good advice.

@drygnfyre

One of those jokes that flies over your head when you're a kid.

@theoverniter

I was 10 when this movie came out and had no clue what “the clap” meant. My mom told me, in that way of hers that was truthful but still made no sense to a kid that didn’t really understand what sex was, lol

@blazerhawkdarren68

And then they go home and show it to their parents. Imagine that convo
