It served the controllers agenda to segregate music styles , one , they didn't want black rock , when these clearly liked to stretch is out in solos and did rock , soul , funk , gospel equally well .. why , it required lots on marketing and they did not want comparisons to their golden child Eric Clapton ... wait a min... why aren't they charting with phenomenal musicians like that
