@FlameRaptorRaven

A great example of a trade everyone knew was a mistake and has only gotten worse as time passes.

@jethrojacinto

As a Sox fan this is one of those trades I don't think I will get over. It's not on the same scale like the Luka Doncic trade, but I still can't believe the Red Sox just didnt give him a blank check. This is the guy who's won an MVP for your team the same year you win the World Series and someone who basically grew up in your farm system and you don't treat him like your franchise altering player? The money they eventually gave Story and Devers should've just went to Mookie and that would have been the right move.

@Komo47

Stupid Redsox, Greedy Braves and Incompetent Angels. Thank those franchises for the modern dodgers

@charliegone1652

I got that same stomach virus...it was so bad for a month I could not eat solid foods, puked my guts out if I did. The fact he came back and continued playing like nothing is amazing. Dude is a fighter. That's why we love him in LA.

@97NikeSb

I still remember the very small minority of Red Sox who said the trade wasn’t that bad. Literally every fanbase knew this was a bad trade from the start

@brianchua4240

This is one of the reasons why I'm not a fan of owners owning more than one major sports franchise. Because it ultimately comes down to money and how they balance the payrolls.
To this day, I still can't believe LA didn't have to give up that much for Mookie.
Anyway, love your videos SRS! Keep them coming!

@rhyde

Ma, I made it.

@datass666

That quick clip of Jeter Downs' highlight reel and quick zoom to how long the video is was absolutely savage🤣🤣🤣 I then started bawling profusely (again) shortly thereafter

@guslevy3506

The best way to look at the Betts trade for a Sox fan is to think of Mookie as the delayed player included in the trade where the Dodgers sent Pedro Martinez to the Sox for a coffee maker and a set of kitchen knives…

@JaredKeating

The Sox traded the best all around player in the league for a ham and cheese sandwich on wonderbread and a half eaten bag of chips. Not even the family size bag either. Hell, they didn't even get a regular size or a mid size. They got that tiny ass crap you get in a hotel vending machine when you just got back from the bar and everythings closed. It's embarassing.

@kiefdemon1979

You mentioned the Babe Ruth trade from 100 years ago right as I was writing how the Red Sox waited 100 years to make the second worse trade in team history.

@smcdonough1427

I always love small pro athletes. You just know they're talented and hardworking as hell because there's no other way for guys of their size to make it to the big leagues

@morimo11

Teams disrespecting their players got us Mookie and Freddie. And in a way Ohtani. ITFDB.

@BoyNamedSue4

As a Red Sox fan I was pissed off when it happened. I’m still mad about it.

@jamesknapp64

the fact he already has more WAR than Jeter is just insane.

And yeah everyone said the Trade was just stupid at the time.

@brandong2972

When it happened I couldn’t believe it. The Red Sox traded away a guy that spent the beginning and all of his career there. Their mvp and face that hugely assisted in bringing in a championship. And it was so surprising to me that it was to the Dodgers who the Sox literally faced in the World Series. Like, if you can’t beat them, buy them.

@Yourguy27

When Donald Trump roasts a trade you already know it's bad

@robert93609

I will never be over this trade man

@JBDrake

I was a die hard Red Sox fan since I was born in 2010, he was my favorite player of all time since 2015 when I was 5 when I was watching them. When I saw he got traded I cried my eyes out
