As a SPAS12 expers. Have you ever seen a spas 12 with no ventilation in the heat shield? I have been looking at this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdwKsYK6pww - but nobody i have talked to knows anything about this models heat shield. Also the fixed stok is strange.

I have one of the the "old four digit receivers" as you call it; however, mine also has the FIE markings. My serial number is in the 6000's. I was just interested if that was typical?
