Thanks Kevin. I'm still trying to get my PHP Contact form running properly, but the series was awesome. My final project for my diploma as a Web Designer was a portfolio site and after much deliberation I chose yours. I especially appreciate the insight into a professional workflow. I am hooked on SCSS and GULP now. I graduated last week with Honours. Cheers.
Brilliant! Love to follow your tutorials just for fun. You are the best!!!!
I just wanted you to know that i love you. I've been learning web design by myself and i find your guides really handy. Love from Argentina!
That thing about creating classes to select stuff easier is pretty convenient. Good tip!
This series is exactly what I was waiting for. Finally a u tuber make an awesome tutorial on portfolio building.. #kevinURBest. P.s. Nice shirt
Surprised it hasn't more views. Good graphical eye and technique. I'd have omitted a HOME item on the hamburger dropdown. Better to have a separate logo, clickable to get to the HOME page, for Joe P to the left of the hamburger and also use this as a favicon. On screen sizes > 700px I'd let the hamburger convert into a regular navbar. Love the hover effects, love the turquoise semi-trans overlays, responsiveness of grid great.
The video is great. Thank you Kevin! Awesome stuff!
Fantastic tutorial! Professional work.
great work i've never seen before..love this video
Hey Kevin, Excited with this one, following along as you go :) Loved your line though: "Don't forget to make your corner of the internet a little bit more Awesome" <3 Keep going Kevin! Best, Nikhil
22:05 you don't need to use id's on inputs if you put input into a label, please notice that)
Excited to see how this project will shape up. Eagerly waiting for the next part. When can we expect to watch it?
Hi Kaylan great video and the color combinations are wonderful. You mentioned that you avoid containers as much as possible in a piece of this maybe five or six minutes in? Why is that? Also rather than having five or six different container sections on a page, should it be that different sections are wrapped within one container? I love your tutorials so much, May I please book a one hour session with you
Awesome stuff! I was hoping you’d use grids to layout this! I’ll definitely recommend this series to my Facebook group.
Doing this -- got video one done without github except the images cool
Kevin, Thanks buddy this is great!!! ✅
sorry i cant figure out how to follow along. So I will be trying to find a newer tutorial. Gulp doesn't work and nothing i try seems to work.
Love your tutor Kevin ! Can u plz tell what program are you using on the left,it looks like photoshop or what .Please explane .Thank you in advance
Thank you Kevin! Your voice and pace is great. (side note: at 25:30 you explain why you use so many classes-the suspense was killing me) My understanding of the figure tag is it is referenced in main content and if removed it wouldn't mess up the flow. This makes me always wonder if it is the right pick for a gallery. I like the idea if you have an image and you have a caption, then yes its a good pick. Also, because figcaption is just so fun to use as a tag, its a great opportunity. Just wondering if you had any more insights on this.
