Thanks, Dianne. It would never have occurred to me to use quinacridone violet to darken orange. It will now.

Love this quick tip like all other ones ๐ŸŽ‰ โค The colour mixing concepts with precise gradation becomes so simple only with your precise and simplified explanations ๐ŸŽ‰ Thank you again!!! You are an amazing artist and art teacher ๐Ÿ˜Š

@dogslovesalldogs

We love you, Diane Mize! Love the title and topic, too! ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿงก

@Lalaland_lady

Very useful, in-depth color theory of orange. It could work for watercolor as well.

@Ibrapaintslight

It's absolutely amazing info. Thank you! Color used to be overwhelming, now its an enjoyable puzzle.

@truepeace3

You taught this so well. Love that color wheel ring! I taught K-8th grade art. Retired now. Teaching my students how to create shades of color by using the color wheel and not always resorting to black, was so much fun! And their artwork had such depth to it because of understanding color theory. I began letting my kids play with color mixing as young as kindergarten. Iโ€™d have kids say, โ€œLook at this color I invented!โ€๐Ÿ˜ Boy I miss those days!

@wonderworld4056

Wow that is a great art lesson, very instructive. Thankyou for this great tip

@leelokje

Thank you so much Dianne. Iโ€™ve only just discovered your channel and your wonderful website. I have been watching art tutorials and instruction videos for almost 10 years, here on YouTube. Your instructions and explanations are simply much better than all the others that Iโ€™ve seen! They make sense to me and I feel that you have the same eye and outlook on what makes an oil painting good as I do. I have been browsing all your art tutorials on your website and I love the approach you take with them, focusing on parts of a painting, such as color and edges, that Iโ€™ve been struggling with. I look forward to purchasing your classes. It would be nice if you offered one flat fee or a subscription to watch all of them. Thank you so much! ๐Ÿ˜Š

@lisaharrison1031

@usetherightbrain.

Invaluable tutelage! Immense thanks

@vincentenland

Excellent lesson. Thank you!

@hArtyTruffle

Iโ€™m going to try to translate this surprising info to watercolour. Why was I never taught this before. That transition is truly vibrant! Thanks Dianne.

@ohiorn34

Also, this is such a great tip! Knowing to use maybe not the exact complement but a color in which it first starts to appear is so helpful to know! I had never heard that before. Love your channel!

@senizmcmullen484

Until now, I would have started adding Ultramarine Blue right away. I learnt something very important today. Thank you Dianne!

@EllenR654

This was so clear and very helpful, as always! Thank you!

@gaelhillyardcreative
