Getting regular business/projects is the biggest challenge I have been facing so far in software. There are 2 models and they are:
1. To develop a product(s) - you need to have sufficient funds to invest
2. To get projects to help sustain in software business

to have a purpose realy is very important
Thank you for making this video.

@yusufjiruwala

ok all about skill set and purpose, this is the most difficult part, purpose. as soon as we are going ahead, market is filled with purposes...and improvement is done much better now from previous few years back. new is going to be always difficult..but improving old is easier. so on immediate base, working on to improve existed is the best.

I am in my 3rd attempt to start individual company now. And here is one thing this video is missing: investments. If you create something trivial like pizza delivery service, you can start with no or little investments. But if you are creating more or less complex product, building a stable prototype might require few years. So you should have big savings, so you can live from passive income. Othervise clock would be always ticking in your mind that you will run out of savings in few years. Most of real-world cases when persons were starting their own IT business looks like this: you work in established IT company, you learn market and demands, you actively save ALOT. And then at some stage you can afford being independent of daily job and dedicate yourself to starting new company in this market, which you know from your previous experience...

@realpolitik4908

dear evan sir you are awsome.i have a request please upload a video on top 10 tech companies

@sodamafia

man.... after reading and actually learning how to build a business i find it funny how many people ask the simple question of "how do i build a software company?" when they are too lazy to actually go out, read and actually learn by doing. in business you learn by doing and executing and also you learn from reading books/trial and error. there is never 1 answer on how to do something in business. Also stop saying "i want to" and start "saying i am". the people that say i want to are never going to start a company because they are still trying to find the 1 answer the doesn't exist.

@ahmedulde

great video..thumbs up!!

@Spudst3r

@XO.Careese

Hey its Careese again! So I'm working on my Photography business, getting experience and finding my niche, the only problem is I don't know how to market myself or my photography. Though I do know my target market, I really want to be the photographer for magazines like seventeen or vogue but I don't know where to start. I'm thinking of interning or maybe finding a career coach. I feel stuck and I was hoping for your view of my situation, thanks so much.

Are there a lot of opportunities to start one up? I would like to start one after college with some other friends. It would be me and another CS major and 2 business majors if we did. We've been talking about it for a little bit. I'm not sure if there are a lot of changes to start one? Are there? Thanks. Great video
