Are you a designer struggling with time management? Try this: https://time.thirtybyforty.com/

@jf8461

I am an engineer, and I like to draw a lot of my ideas out by hand sketch first. Younger coworkers laugh at this, but I find that hand sketching gives me more of a "feel" for what I am designing. This is difficult to explain, but I am sure (based on your video) that you understand what I am talking about. Great video!

@got2bbe

I am not an Architect but i love this content

@TheFiown

As a trained fashion designer I used to tell other students that they had to draw every day, home, travel, sitting outside, anywhere . Some asked of it was really neccesary to 'sacrifice' so much time to this but of course if you have trouble with doing this then you should find another job! I began sketching at about the age of 8 and my pocket money went into paper which for me from a poor family was treasure! One night a few years ago I came across a dumpster full of boxes of paper !!! it was raining but I managed to drag home a box despite the rain and walking two feisty Jack Russells ! I imagined what a difference that paper would have meant to me as a child. Lovely video thank you, my father wanted me to be an architect but I chose fashion so I would never be out of work and I never have ! BUT in a way garment construction and architecture are not so far apart are they!

Overlapping corners are a must, if you want to build your perspective right.

I’ve watched all your videos (I think) & actually bought several of your items. I thank you, as you know, no one teaches you these “learned lessons” it’s not easy hanging out your shingle on your own.

@andrewmorrisondesign

Awesome tip to not worry about other people's highlight reels, that's very important for today's youth to remember.

@Chaketote

I can barely read his handwriting. In architect school they made us write perfectly our sketches and designs. It is never too late learn again man, cheer up :)

@nomadicdesign2651

Hi I am a 14 year old who really wants to be an architect and try my hardest to reach that goal thank you for this video have been struggling with the work that goes inte getting a good idea. I keep going back and forth so much that I never get anywhere. have been watching your videos for a long time now and thank you again for making them :)

@eddygoodwin7089

Very good point about making your work for your eyes only. If your like most people we strive to please others and loose focus of what makes our own mind happy

@Simi2681

Thank you for the video, I realise im to harsh on myself, I always seek perfection when the real objective often is to get an idea out of my mind. To learn to accept that a concept/sketch is for me and me alone, will for sure bring back some confidence, and possible even bring back some more crazy concepts.

@maksenDK

3D Game Environment Artist here, this was more inspiring than anything I've seen lately. I realized how much i miss sketching IRL. Thank you :)

@RichW1gg

I’m preparing for studying architecture in college next year and I would love it if you could make a video with tips for that. Love your channel, it’s really helping!

@iaaljabary2247

My professor keeps encouraging me to leave the computer and sketch more. This vedio is a life saver

@miguelsibajamadrigal6117

Love that little sketch. Sketch is a mind expression without limits.

@eeehhhbertoyee5057

You and I have nearly exactly the same handwriting.

As an engineering student and an art hobbyist: I can say that visual expression is super valuable when designing something and most of the understanding of design comes from art.

@Miracle7Seven

Even though this video is about architecture, this information can be used about drawing or sketching or other art forms. I feel like I'll try and do some architectural sketches sometime, it looks really fun! This video might make me rethink my entire drawing style.

@jezohare3013

Love this one video so much, saved it so I can watch it several times, thank you, really inspired & helped me improve just in this short video..

@amazingaimi5532
