I was just thinking about this yesterday. Now I know my mind was on the right path. Good timing! :)
THANK YOU JONATHAN. GREAT TIP.
I am a university student, and this strategy works for me with the pre-condition that I will not be significantly distracted in the new space. If that's not the case, then I can attest to this claim, as going to a new library or coffee shop to study always seems to produce a unique feeling of motivation. In fact, I watched this video trying to figure out why it is so difficult to focus in the privacy of my room. Thanks for sharing the reasoning behind this. I believe that understanding why we do the things we do at a scientific level can actually amplify the effects!
Thanks Jonthan It's amazing tips, will try soon.
nice one and it really works! I recollect during college days I used to study from different spaces across the campus and each space had its own energy and excitement that enhanced learning experience and creativity! thank you for reminding, will start doing it again!
Really good tips Jonathan . I like it already which makes me think this can actually work for me .Thank you !
I love the idea, but when I consider it practically, my no. 1 concern is losing the second monitor that I have at home. About 70% of the benefit of this second monitor is that I have it propped up so that I can have a healthy posture when working for several hours instead of hunching over my laptop. I'm really much happier and more focused when I am not worried about long term damage to my spine! Do you have any ideas of how I might address this concern when i'm studying/working in a new place outside home?
That's my expierence as well and it gives my such a good new approach to my writing
This is awesome, thanks Jonathan! for sharing your wisdom. I can relate to this big time. I get bored doing the same things, but changes in some fashion help me stay on the task.
Keep the content coming! :D
I have some people tell about conditioning as well, if we learn at a same place and same time our brain is conditioned to learn and when we get there it becomes easier for us to learn.
Jonathan, the content is good, but please stop with all of the zoom in and outs, its rather Jarring for the video and almost made me turn it off.
I wish I could afford a new working space every time I want to increase my productivity
