@mysocalledgenxlife

Charlie Day. I know itโ€™s Charlie Day. I smoked a little too much before I recorded that. lol. ๐Ÿ˜‚

@WoodsPrecisionArms

Cobra Kai did such a FABULOUS FABULOUS JOB every single original actors - every single one no substitutes - itโ€™s outstanding. The one huge thing in notice is on sitcoms today they make kids out as morons - when in the 80โ€™s they made kids way smarter than their years. Iโ€™m not sure what the deal is with that.

@joshruisz3791

I think Psych should probably be added to that list. An underused premise, two friends who grew up together still hanging out, flashbacks to the mid/late 80s and early 90s as the show progressed and all the 80s references - even the obscure ones - you could possibly handle. PLUS, could you think of two better parents for Sean Spencer than Corbin Bernsen and Cybil Sheppard??

@BearIslandTV

Ted Lasso is the only show thatโ€™s ever made me think modern TV can equal what we (I was born in โ€˜79) grew up with. Biggest heart of any series in decades

@robertolszanski516

Born December 1965, so I guess I make the cutoff. Can relate to most of this content and love it. More of a 70's Saturday morning cartoon kid with favorites like Land of the Lost and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, but could relate to some of that video as well.

@JeanneRowland

OMG - I loved all of these shows!

@robertolszanski516

LOVE Freaks and Geeks and Scrubs!!!!

@tuttle767676

Great listโ€ฆ I was happy you remembered my favorite Archer, but sadly SeaLab 2021 was missed.

@lydiawilson2723

Don't Mess with The B was fantastic and cut too short. It is hilarious

@b.p.879

I'm in the middle of an Entourage rewatch now!

@btetschner

9:18 Party Down was created by members of Alpha Pie Epsilon and Doane Players (the theater club I was in).

I could post about this forever but I will wait until another video.

@ericgaskins571

So let me get this straight....you want me to go to the mall...today?

@lydiawilson2723

what about Psych? the references to the 80s throughout the series is fantastic including guest stars from the 80s. Also, I would throw Suits in there too.

@christopherhimes8593

I feel like GLOW should be on this list for it's ode to 80's scrappy pro wrestling mayhem

@williamf.buckleyjr3227

I'm 53 and I will think this forever: JOHNNY LAWRENCE WAS NOT THE BAD GUY!!

5:43 You are such a Kansas girl. ๐Ÿ˜Š Iโ€™ve watched a couple of your videos, and they are great. But you talk about basketball and NBA like all gen x females would know the references. Without even knowing you were a Jayhawk, I could deduce you grew up in Kansas or North Carolina, based on your college basketball interest. I was born in 1980 in Texas and because my dad was a sports journalist and die hard fan, I grew up watching all college sports, but fell in love with basketball because of March Madness. I had Grant Hill and Allen Iverson posters on my wall as a teenager, and my friends made fun of me. I was the only girl in my school who knew anything about college hoops let alone the NBA. But I imagine kids in Kansas are different. And as an alum and employee of a school who has to play Bill Self multiple times a season, Iโ€™ve spent a lot of time around KU basketball fans. All of my favorite shows were on this list (except New Girl, which is the show with the most references Iโ€™m familiar with). And Being Erica was such a fun show.

@DaSuTro

33:23 Now how many Gen X sitcoms do you know of have episodes dedicated to Double Dare and Dance Party USA (both Philadelphia treasures)?

Hmmm, now that I mentioned it, two more things came to mind:

1) "This is WPHL Channel 17, Phila-DELLLLL-phia."

2) GO BIRDS!!!!!

@trinityworker74

Psych - all I'm gonna say.

@fishtail1129

Firefly!!!! Best show ever.

@JeanneRowland

omg - the goldbergs!
