@killahboi84

For those who don't know, the workers wages are adjusted to accommodate proper living costs.

@memelord3348

The cashier telling him it’s expensive for him but not for her LOL dude caught a stray for no reason💀💀💀

@NYCHalalFoodCart

Their prices are 50 years ahead of time 💀

@86kickass

That grocery store clerk making like $35 an hour lmao

@johnkelly6888

1.) people live there because of crude oil, #1 place in us to pump oil from the ground.
2.) Because of that Alaskan government pays every registered Alaskan 5K a year.
3.) Prices are higher than the lower us because everything has to be brought in from over 1k miles and the demand is just that town. Imagine if someone has to raise a cow, chikens or pork in this cold.

@restinpeacedrip

Why did the cashier flex on you like that 😭😭😭

@Est1995real

Imma go to Sam’s club and then go over there and start slanging toilet paper instead of drugs lol

@Going-Missed

Erewhon punching the air right now

@guccivanilla3691

Cashier called him a broke boy☠️

@fackeyutub-emael6545

Yes, the regular cashier is richer than a poor 90210.

@bengibson3298

This store just made Whole Foods look like the dollar store

@TylerMcL3more

At $64 for toilet paper, I’d just pay the extra $40 to buy a decent bidet and stop using toilet paper.

@Pashak

Dude what?! How is milk that expensive. Maybe my dad didn’t come back with milk because he couldn’t afford it lmao.

@Jubin0426

I seriously dont get why people choose to live in parts of the world like that

@TreeCuttersUS

As an Alaskan I can confirm our groceries are expensive AF

@antonyyi5912

erewon been real quiet since this dropped

@MomtoZnE

What I’m gathering from other remote Alaskan YouTubers is that they’ll stock up at Costco in Anchorage or Fairbanks, where the prices are normal, and then fly their groceries and supplies in at around 80 cents a pound. They’ll only go to a store like this if they’ve truly run out of something and it can’t wait. Also, all Alaskans get state government subsidies just for living there. It’s not much, but it helps.

@HummaKavula-DontVoteForStupid

I saw a documentary about this town and most of the people who live there make excellent money. That lady in the grocery store probably makes about $35 an hour. It is a place with a very harsh climate, that whole midnight sun thing for six months, that type of thing.

@Jamie780Martial

This is the cost of living in northern Canada
This is why they have Northern living tax credits available for the residence

@rhysddp1

Clerk just casually flexing on them dudes 😎
