@Ba_Dashi

Changing the serebii green is heresy though, that green is ICONIC

@check9094

Man is casually changing the green color of a website that has had it for over 20 years

@malwareinc

I wasn't expecting that roast at the end.

@Sluchey

“I don’t like the green”
It’s named after Celebi.
A green pokemon
THAT’S WHY IT’S GREEN

@clarkdimond7807

Its effectively a pokemon encyclopedia. It works about as well as a book too but it has literally all the information ever needed.

@Ryokans

Lol. That site is encapsulating the 90's web browsing feels

@ToxShox.

I actually find serebii far easier to navigate and use than most sites. Though i do like the idea of the search option for the left hand side

@HoopaKing

No shot bro changed the color away from their signature Pokémon 💀

@phillipotey9736

I actually like that website, especially working within a Japanese theme. Would be 79/100 does 100% need the search menu

@-ism8153

I don't think I've seen him change the color scheme so drastically before. I do think the blue looks good, but maybe a nicer, light mint green (closer to Celebi's color) with less black would suit it better?

@evsh9767

The brutalist design is too iconic to fuck with

@Keeg64

The whole reason this website has lasted two decades is because it hasn’t changed to fit fashion trends. It’s a lot of content but it’s also the most complete resource for this franchise on the Internet.

@sam_bamalam

I love the approach to the timeline and left navigation menu. HOWEVER, the right menu changes depending on what page you are on.

@charliecharliewhiskey9403

Basically turn it into something that is fine (I guess) for phones but ugly and hard to use on a PC. Don't forget to make it use only 3 inches of width on my 4k monitor, that is good design.

@seraphim6672

Proceeds removes Serebii's banner and green and dare to call it better

@wile123456

This man should do a challenge designing something that doesn't have round corners, especially the exact same roundess radius that is present in every video lol

@thecrunchh6

I think keeping the theme green is a good idea but the rest of it looks amazing. Serebii has definitely needed a glow-up for a bit

@joemck85

Good design suggestions. The biggest feature of the site's current design though is it's so much more lightweight than anything people make using stacks of frameworks today. This is especially visible on mobile if you don't have the absolute latest phone or a super fast connection. Using Firefox on my few-years-old phone, Bulbapedia loads gradually and then lag-scrolls to the part I want to see. Still usable though, which is more than I can say for a number of gaming news sites. Serebii loads almost instantly even if I only have 1 bar, and scrolls everywhere buttery smooth.

@EthanStandel

Hate to say it, but on your search bar, you definitely can't put white on that green. When putting a text color on a background color, you need to ensure that the contrast between both colors is at least 3.5 or greater. White against #94D2BD has a 1.71 contrast ratio.

Also that's specifically why Coolers put black text on it.

@embergeos

I agree that Serebii’s site doesn’t look or feel great to use (speaking as someone who uses it more frequently than they should), but changing the green is evil and should never be done
