Took me 6 years of trying to ''get rich quick'' before I made 100k a year, it's when I stopped listening to so many gurus that I actually passed that milestone. Great video as always brother.
It is so ironic that while watching a video concerning internet scam, I have to watch an ad with exactly the form of scam that this video is shining light upon.
Anyone else get a get-rich-quick ad in the middle of this video? 😂 Great video James! 🙌
It's very humbling and revealing to realize you fell for a scheme; admitting you were wrong and/or susceptible is one of the hardest things to admit. Schemers actually account for most victims being too ashamed to blow the whistle on them. I really appreciate your dedication to educating people on very real problems.

As a victim of a get rich scheme. Your content is underrated and not exposed enough. In this day of age of dreamselling you are a breath of fresh air.
I never understood why someone who has a method of becoming very rich very fast would waste his or her time by telling others how to do it, instead of doing it himself. This was pretty much the end of my thought process since I was a teenager in high school. And it was very painful for me to realize that even adults are being scammed that way - it forced me to realize how every educated adult person can still be manipulated by evil intents... And if such manipulation is possible, what else do you think is possible without most of the people knowing?
I tried Amway back in the 90's. I never made any money. A few friends told me it was a scam and a MLM. I also went to a meeting of people trying to get other people to sell some vitamins. I'm very glad I didn't get so sucked into these that I was loosing money. I hope many more see this important video. Thanks.
"If it was easy, everyone would do it." "anything easily gained, is easily lost." "Hard work is it's own reward." - My Dad.
The "if it fails, it's not because it doesn't work, it's because you didn't try hard enough" is true in cults too.
I'm 33. I'm unemployed with some disability. I almost fell down this path. What these people do is sell courses, often renting mansions and fancy cars to make their videos. Here's a secret about secrets - the best stuff is kept private. And remember the people who get rich are the ones selling the course.
I remember in highschool asking my dad for money to get into the classified ads nonsense. My mom heard my dad and I arguing as I was trying to sell him on it. My mom went in to say if it was that easy everyone would be rich.
The thing is we'll probably never get rid of them. They've existed for ages and there's always going to be new forms of get rich quick schemes as technology improves. Nothing we can really do except spread awareness...
These scams were easy to ignore when they were just in the back of magazines and on late-night television. The growing ecosystem of online influencers has breathed new life into them with a new kind of insidiousness, granting them an aura of legitimacy they did not previously possess.
The fact that, “people are getting rich by teaching how to get rich!” is ironic itself.
My friend lost thousands to Dan Lok. He even put me down at one point for being "closed minded" and therefore broke. I honestly felt so bad for him that I just took it and nodded rather then tell him how ridiculous it was. He bought his books, attended closers in black and took coaching. In the end he's only doing ok because he went to university bot because of Dan Lok. Dan didn't make him a single penny
"people overestimate what they can do in a month but underestimate what they can do in 10 years" or something, amazing video as always, keep up the awesome content :)
The truth in this...I once dropped out of varsity because of this. Tried to do business, failed horribly, than 2 years later went back to varsity, now in my 2nd year. Thanks for sharing this James. I hate the way they play with insecurities, leaving you thinking there's something wrong with yourself. I hope you will continue to create more awareness.
When you hear 'New Opportunity' it's often a 'New Scam'
