I will never forget this. My dad was a musician and Paul was one of his heroes. And after my mom passed in 09, he and I became a lot closer by attending a lot of concerts together. The final show we saw together was Paul in October of 14. When Paul played this, I look at my dad and he’s got tears in his eyes. I lean over and ask if he’s okay and he says “I miss Ann,” my mom. Little did I know two months later Dad would he gone. I think he knew the end was near for him. He was eaten up with cancer but I didn’t know til after he died. His body may me gone, but his spirit will never die. I’ll see Tony again...somewhere along the long and winding road.

The day Paul leaves us, I will be a radioactive hot mess for a while.

So many memories of lost family and friends,makes this one hard to get through.

@peroysteineira

This song is like a Requiem for The Beatles.

@andyhowlett2231

My wife has just walked in and found me in tears at this song. I've always loved it.

@Violet-fj8yd

...you left me standing here a long, long time ago...always makes me cry.

@APaclin

This song sounds like the end of big and epic journey of The Beatles.

Perfection: This What Our Souls Need Today, Music Like This.😂

@gerrygeraghty4992

I always thought this was one of the most beautiful songs ever written not just by the Beatles, but ever written. ❤

@dcrelictunes1967

As a 30 year piano player, this still amazes me. Still cannot fathom how a 26 year old wrote, sang this gem. His talent is immeasurable.

@illinoisboy4

One of the greatest songs ever recorded.

@geekmar7930

If Paul McCartney had done nothing else in his life , this song would still have ensured his immmortality.

I will have surgery for recurrent bladder cancer next Tuesday. It's a sad truth, but I still send love and comfort from Japan to those who are grieving the same way I am.

@angeldelight1810

I'm 70 years old now and this wonderful magical group were with me all the way. Bless the Beatles, no others compares.

@jstorm2066

Any other band, this would be their most famous song, the one that made them great. For the Beatles, this is just another one of the 27 hit singles

@markusclemens6979

We all should be happy that we have the privilege to know the Beatles and their wonderful music.

@simplycomplicated7240

In my opinion, this song was by far their BEST one. You can feel the vulnerability, humility, and hope in the words, instrumental, and Paul McCartney's voice. Long live The Beatles !!!!!!

@paulpipkin3554

Who says tears aren't met with gladness

@danielmelo7146

@itsmeagainjohn3054

This is like a last hurrah to everything The Beatles have done. I can see myself listening to this song on repeat in the last year of my life.
