@EZRAXXoXX

As an American, I'm on Japan's side. If your going somewhere, you should respect its people and its structures. Along with its traditions and its ways. Not do something stupid and disrespectful to ruin it for everyone around you.

@FarRightCapitalist

The Japanese Don't tolerate disrespectful annoying behavior and they shouldn't have too.

@orion4624

Remember, this isn't Japan against Foreigners.

It's the world against obnoxious influencers.

@erroleabrown4317

I can’t believe how intrusive and disrespectful tourist are to a country as respectful as Japan. Thank goodness Japan stand up for themselves

@sakuraplumlove5292

Influencers should be banned EVERYWHERE

@cjco3145

Yeah I'm on japans side

@FNWendigo

Doing pullups on a Tori gate is next level idiocy🤦🏼‍♂️

@germanOrangeApfel

Same in Europe with Americans they are in a own world called tiktok 😂😂😂

@Somebody-1222

They should respect Japan and their culture

@Thong437meat

I dont blame them for hating foreigners🤷

@uberdonkey9721

Yup. When people are more reserved, you should respect their boundaries. That's just polite.

@pyyromaniac

Japan is very very friendly and don't hate foreigners... They absolutely loved my presence when I was there so don't spread negativity. Disrespectful tourists should be banned

@ginger5872

It ticks me off as an American that a few ignorant mouth breathers are ruining it for everyone who want to visit. I'm so tired of these social media Narcissists aka " influencers" acting like fools.

@pompomnini

I am Japanese. In Japan, I have been taught manners in public places since I was a child. Japanese people sit quietly on the train. This is because in public places, they are taught to be quiet as consideration for others. There were people in the comments who were worried even though they were planning to travel to Japan. Be sure to come! And I hope there's something you like about it❤

@キャッサバ大魔王

As a native Japanese, I’m very happy that foreigners can enjoy themselves and have a good time in Japan! However, I want to say this proverb:
“When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”

@vinayakshenoy4725

Singapore and Japan, man, I wish I could visit every so often.

@lajeandom

They don't hate foreigners, they hate stupid influencers 😅

@Stolpskott100

My experience, both with spending time in Japan as a teenager, and recently visiting the country again, is taht Japan doesn't hate foreigners.
They hate disrespect and disregard for their traditions and history.
Previously, that hatred would have rarely been expressed, and the foreigners in question would simply have found themselves frozen out of experiences and communities. But recently, some Japanese people have started to show a willingness to confront disrespectful foreigners about their actions.

@rolandvanleeuwen1168

Those influencers screw up everything for the respectful tourists, respect foreign customs and social rules

@luccadeo69

I'm with Japan on this. I just got back from there on a 3-week trip. I never once was disrespectful and went out of my way to treat their culture respectfully. I have never once had any issues with a Japanese local. The social media morons are a cancer to all societies.
