hey! as a server myself, $100 is an amazing tip for an order, especially one under 400! nonetheless, a $244 order (which is around $44 for a standard tip). you may have made him feel uncomfortable for a sec, but the real servers here know you ain’t some kind of villain. i’m certain he very much appreciated, and if commenters doubt it, it’s because they’ve never done this in their lives. you have a great day sir.

I was a server in a restaurant on the Strip here in Vegas. A man asked me this once. Me thinking he is either completely loaded or just hit a jackpot I asked him what kind of car does he drive. He said “which one?” After chatting a bit. He gave me $1000. Never forget that guy. He was actually sat out of my section and I saw his table was waiting and decided to take care of them because the server that was supposed to be there was on lunch.
